skul
What does the skul emoji mean?
The ultimate way to express you are literally dead from laughter or cringe.
The skull emoji has become a cornerstone of modern internet slang, primarily used to signify that something is so funny it has killed the user. It is the successor to 'lol' or 'lmao' in Gen Z digital communication, often paired with the crying-laughing emoji or used entirely on its own. In Discord servers, it serves as a quick, punchy reaction to epic fails, hilarious memes, or moments of extreme secondhand embarrassment.
When to use it
- Reacting to a hilarious meme in chat
- Expressing disbelief at a truly cringe moment
- Showing you are laughing uncontrollably at something
- Signifying that you are completely done with everything
