What does the STAFF emoji mean?

When the mods are actually working, or just need to fix something.

This emoji features a crossed hammer and wrench, the universal symbol for maintenance, moderation, and technical work. It is commonly used in Discord servers to signal that a moderator is active, a technical issue is being addressed, or that someone is 'fixing' a situation in the chat. It serves as a clear, professional, yet punchy way to denote administrative presence or manual labor.

When to use it

  • Signaling that a moderator is currently active
  • Indicating that a technical issue is being fixed
  • Representing manual labor or DIY project updates
  • Acknowledging a server maintenance or update period
