Join CommunitySummary
The Josh Universe - Space Discord Server announced that the first launch window for the Artemis II mission is approaching in 17 days. This mission is crucial for testing deep-space systems before the Artemis III crewed landing. A key factor is the upcoming Space Launch System (SLS) wet dress rehearsal test on February 6th, as a failure or delay could push subsequent launch windows to mid-March or early April.

17 days marks the first available launch window for Artemis II. The mission will take humans around the Moon to test deep-space systems in preparation for a crewed landing in Artemis III.
If the Space Launch System (SLS) fails the wet dress rehearsel (WDR) test on February 6th, or cannot launch for any other reason, further launch windows include mid-March and early-April.
