Just released the newest update for Optimum Realism, R3.6.0.
The biggest comeback this update is for Bedrock Edition, there's almost complete parity between the two versions now.
Optimum Realism for Bedrock Edition has been moved from Experimental to the Beta stage, all feedback is most welcome, and now we're gonna have tons of improvements over the coming months for Bedrock Edition.

I’ve been thinking about creating an official Minecraft Java Edition server with Optimum Realism
The idea right now is something like a realistic survival / roleplay server that fits the vibe of the pack, custom mods, and other immersive features.
Mostly been brainstorming about it, but there's already tons of servers like this. Is it really needed?
Mostly wanted to ask what you guys think about it.
Any ideas for features or gameplay you'd want to see or get involved?

It might look like development was at a standstill in the past 2 months, but behind the curtains, I was extensively redesigning the website used as the gateway to the world of modding Minecraft and Optimum Realism itself...and I'm so glad that it's finally up and ready for everyone to visit, explore and debug. There are still tons of features to add, but let's just say we've completely changed our framework now so there's a ton of new possibilities which were previously impossible.

With this update, Optimum Realism for Java Edition will no longer be marked as a WIP (Work-In-Progress) resource pack. We’ve pretty much got every major block textured.
From next update onwards, updates will mostly be to stay up-to-date with new Minecraft versions - and of course, I’ll keep adding more mob textures as new ones come out too.

I've finally been able to release Optimum Realism R2.9.0, it has satisfactorily completed the mangrove biome, and some other minor texture changes as I was unable to allocate larger chunks of time, this also fixes colours missing from corner stairs and some of the other issues.

Starting R2.8.0, you won't be able to play Optimum Realism without turning on Connected Textures on Optifine or using Continuity on Fabric/Iris. Please make sure that you enable/download before playing - as with more and more blocks using this feature - you're missing out on most of everything the texture pack offers to you.
