Anti-Meta Meganium: VGC Strategy & Team Building
Resumen
In the Pokémon Champions | VGC Battles & Tournaments server, members are brainstorming a unique anti-meta strategy centered around Meganium. This discussion focuses on countering dominant weather teams, specifically rain archetypes, by leveraging Meganium's special attacking capabilities. The community is actively experimenting with team compositions, EV spreads, and synergy to create a viable competitive build that challenges the current tournament meta.
I really really really hate weather. I am sick of it. Yard, rain with golisopod and female basc are all menaces. So what can one do? Looking at the Nice winning team, y'all know which one I'm talking about, I realised that there is a Mon that can only really be checked by Sneasler, and it's special so it can deal damage to pelipper and even OHKO the menace isopod itself, possibly making guaranteed win lines exist if built well. That being said, I'd like the team to also include a version that will beat yard plus Venu (and yard itself, don't care about chomp because obviously Meganium). The dog comes to mind but I'm biased. I also don't know what other components to add, probably Mons that are weak to rain if I had to guess, to abuse the niche of Meganium. Maybe weather myself? Doubt it. Would love to get input on my ideas or thoughts about other stuff to beat the meta bs because I'm just tired boss.
just a brainstorm session needed here
