Resumen
The Pokémon Champions | VGC Battles & Tournaments community is actively refining a Sun-based team featuring Heliolisk. This discussion covers essential adjustments, including the use of Volt Switch over Parabolic Charge and the strategic value of Energy Ball on Venusaur. By analyzing weather control and item choices like Choice Scarf, members are collaborating to improve competitive viability for the current VGC meta.
Give me some tips or adjustments to improve this team. It needs to remain a Sun-based team and must include Heliolisk, as that is the original plan.

Idk if helio wants scarf
Hoe come you have energy ball on venu?
Lwk scarf chomp here i think is brtter
And idk about solarbeam on zardy
Its 50/50
But you alr have it on veni and helio
So its not really needed
Esp without volt switch
Other than that team looks fine
It dies
Does
I like the idea
But volt switch over parabolic
I agree
Yea rhats probably why i dony like scarf on it
No volt
With parabolic youre putting it next to whims mainly so you get tailwind anyway
Either ancient power or dpulse on zardy imo
I lean more dpulse rn
With zomp everywhere
Keeping sun + Heliolisk, I’d test Volt Switch over Parabolic Charge first. It gives your Scarf set a way to reposition, and Parabolic Charge can hit your own partner—especially awkward beside Charizard.
I’d keep Energy Ball on Venusaur for now. Unlike Solar Beam, it still works immediately if Pelipper switches in and takes the weather away. You already have plenty of sun-dependent attacks. Preserve Whimsicott for Sunny Day in those games rather than spending it just to get Tailwind up. That weather control seems more useful to this six than changing several Pokémon at once.
