Community Guidelines

Our official Community Guidelines have now been published. Please take a few minutes to read through them, as they outline the expectations for everyone within our community and will serve as the foundation for moderation moving forward.

New Community Manager for Dead Gods Interactive

Hello, everyone!

I'm excited to announce that I'll be stepping into the role of Community Manager for this project.

Moving forward, my focus will be on expanding and strengthening the community infrastructure already in place. This includes developing community guidelines, building an effective moderation and enforcement team, improving user support, and creating more opportunities for community engagement and feedback.

As development continues, my goal is to help foster a welcoming, organized, and transparent community where everyone feels heard. Your feedback and ideas will play an important role in shaping that vision, and I encourage you to share your thoughts as we continue to grow together.

I'm looking forward to meeting many of you and helping build an amazing community alongside the development team. Here's to an exciting future together!

Ads are officially off guys, won't be many new faces until maybe next week. Time to bugfix and polish!

Pausing Ads to Improve Onboarding

I will be stopping ads today for awhile. It was a great learning a experience and I got a handful of testers who seem to enjoy the game enough to keep returning & who are actively reporting bugs (thank you!!!)

Game will remain open to all, but do not expect to see many new faces for a little bit as I'm improving the game before paying for more ads.

I've discovered our day 1 retention was absolutely horrible which leads me to believe the onboarding experience was bad. This past week I've observed hundreds of people do the tutorial I made and this is what people struggled the most with:

  • The Gauntlet For some reason majority of Roblox players just we're understanding the Gauntlet system. Even with instructions on the screen they couldnt seem to figure out that hitting G would open a GUI that they could cycle through their tools with (literally the SAME thing as default roblox toolbar, just hitting G to open it.... idk)

  • The tutorial text I noticed they were refusing to read the tutorial even though each room barely had any instructions.... I think I need to put Minecraft parkour videos beneath to keep their attention idk.

  • The GRAPPLE this is the biggest thing players struggled with. Everyone seemed to assume the grapple was like an instant zip to the location they grappled. this led to themthinking it was broken or bad.. but the grapple isnt meant for that its meant to swing around between structures like spiderman lol

  • Post tutorial I also noticed a lot of players were leaving right after completing the tutorial... Maybe the testing area is overwhelming with all the signs idk lol.

the worst part is alot of these players never even tried the ship building 🙁

Either way there is a lot to work on and I learned quite a bit from these ad campaigns. I'll be putting more up whenever the game is feeling a bit better 🙂

I know there are tons of game breaking bugs right now i am knocking them out one at a time guys 🙂 keep using the bug/suggestion booth at spawn because it shoots a message directly to a discord channel for me so I can knock all of this out 1 by 1

We've been getting some downvotes probably cause of the terrible onboarding experience lol. I added a tutorial today so that should help but it doesn't really cover shipbuilding since that's its own monster.

I am just testing the waters with roblox ad campaigns so i spent a little money on that (not much) just to see if I can get some more testers. If you see people playing it would be a big help to us if you joined them and played with them.

I'm opening the game up for public testing. I just need a lot more testers so feel to invite friends - they dont have to join the group anymore.

Race Reroll Pricing Feedback

How do you feel about these prices for race rerolls? Is this fair? Keep in mind most races have a significant impact on builds due to their racial abilities/stats.
also keep in mind that there will basically be an infinite amount of races. We plan to consistently create and add races so there will be A LOT to roll for.

I need everyone's suggestions on cool idea for a pyro rework. You can suggest a new move or an entire kit rework.

working on friendly fire problem right now

soon TDM will be fully playable with a support and adding supports going forward will be super easy.

The next thing on the list is adding dedicated tanks.

(low, consistent damage + high durability / HP with a kit that buffs that even further)

There are a few classes I imediately think of when it comes to Tank variants (i.e RockWarden + Spiritborn would make great tanks)

I'll give whoever I feel contributes the most to testing / bug reporting an unobtainable Class, or spec move.

The game may look bad rn but just wait until we're done scripting and start hiring VFX & UI artists as well as animators. I don't see it being a viral game or anything but I can deff see a solid community one day. glad to have everyones help.

Testers will **all ** get custom in game titles as well.

Hey guys whenever we push out updates in #updates if you're able to please hop on try them out.

I know the game isnt super fun or packed with content yet, the animations suck etc etc but its still very early and testers are crucial to bug fixing. You WILL be rewarded with titles and other goodies that will be unobtainable by non testers

Feel free to invite a friend to the game if you need someone to test with. just let me know who it is and have them request to join the group and invite them to the discord.
