LORE FRAGMENT OF WHAT HAPPENED AFTER FIGHTING ENERJAK.
NONE OF IT'S EVER REAL.
Silver stood in a field.
Green grass.
Warm sunlight.
A blue sky.
No destruction.
No screams.
No Enerjak.
Silver stared around in confusion.
“...What?”
A familiar voice came from behind him.
“Silver?”
His breath caught.
He turned.
Blaze stood there.
Alive.
Smiling.
Untouched.
“Blaze...?”
She walked toward him.
“You look exhausted.”
Silver's eyes immediately filled with tears.
“I—”
He ran toward her.
And stopped.
Something was wrong.
Blaze's expression was too calm.
“Where are we?”
“Home.”
Silver shook his head.
“No...”
He looked around.
“This isn't real.”
Blaze smiled.
“Why not?”
Silver's breathing became uneven.
“Because...”
His eyes widened.
“Because I couldn't save it.”
The field began to change.
The grass became gray.
The sky darkened.
The warmth disappeared.
And behind Blaze—
Silver saw the city.
Burned.
Destroyed.
Empty.
Every building he had once fought to protect stood broken beneath the clouds.
His friends were nowhere.
His people were nowhere.
His future was nowhere.
Silver stumbled backward.
“No.”
Blaze remained perfectly still.
“You tried.”
“No...”
“You gave everything you had.”
“STOP.”
“And it wasn't enough.”
“I SAID STOP!”
Silver's telekinesis erupted.
The entire illusion shook.
But nothing broke.
Blaze simply watched him.
“That's what hurts, isn't it?”
Silver froze.
“You weren't afraid of dying.”
Blaze's voice became quieter.
“You were afraid that one day you'd discover that all your suffering meant nothing.”
Silver's eyes widened.
“...No.”
“All those battles.”
“No.”
“All those sacrifices.”
“Please...”
“Every time you told yourself there would be a better future.”
Silver covered his ears.
“PLEASE STOP.”
“And every time you failed—”
“STOP!”
“You simply found another possibility to Fail.”
The illusion shattered.
GO BACK TO REALITY. GO BACK TO WHERE IT ALL HAPPENED. YOU KNOW BETTER THAN TO LET IT ALL BURN.
CLIFFHANGER.
. . . .
The pain still aches inside.
It never stopped.
Not after the fight. Not after he broke free. Not even after the silence finally came.
It was still there.
A phantom sensation crawling beneath his skin, as though his body itself remembered what his mind desperately wanted to forget.
Silver could still feel the sting.
The pressure.
The tearing sensation of something being taken from him—something that had once made him feel human.
Something that had made him feel free.
His breath trembled.
Why does it still hurt?
Why?
His fingers curled against his chest as tears began to gather at the corners of his eyes.
Why?
The voice echoed inside his head again.
Not Enerjak’s.
His own.
WHY?
Silver squeezed his eyes shut.
He wanted it to stop.
He wanted to wake up and realize none of it had happened.
But his body wouldn’t let him forget.
The ‘vines’ still clung to him.
They had burrowed into his skin, curling around his limbs like living restraints. Every attempt to pull away only made them tighten.
And when he fought them
They burned.
A sharp, searing pain traveled through his body.
Silver gasped, stumbling backward.
The vines tightened again.
There was no escape.
No matter how hard he struggled, they only sank deeper.
His telekinesis flickered weakly around his hands.
Nothing.
He couldn’t even trust his own powers anymore.
The thing that had once made him feel different
special
now felt like another reminder of everything he’d lost.
Silver’s tears finally fell.
He stared down at his trembling hands.
He had survived Enerjak.
But somehow…
It didn’t feel like he had won.
Because whatever had been taken from him
Whatever had been ripped away
was still hurting.
It would never EVER be gifted back, the burn that will stay like a blade in your own chest.
YOU WILL NEVER GET OUT OF THE HELL THAT WAS BURNED FOR YOU.
