Fruits of a False Prophet [The Bible Says...]
Question: Will the Almighty send prophets in the last days?
Answer: Acts 2:17-18, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens__ I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy__:"
Joel 2:27-29 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids ____.
This will serve as a companion piece for #channel as that study can successfully be used to vet all prophets.
This study is to prove who is a false prophet according to the warnings that Scriptures provide for us. Luckily for us, there are really only three proofs that we can do: practically, on the spot, at any time.
Test 1
Do they uphold the 10 Commandments?
1st Corinthians 14:37
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
Zephaniah 3:4
Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
2nd Kings 17:13
Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
1st John 2:4
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Matthew 7:12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Test #2
Do they 100% agree with the Inspired Messages of Christ's Testimony?
Revelation 19:10
"...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
It is crucial that we examine the prophet's word and match them up with Scripture. If they do not agree 100%, then understand in your heart that you ARE dealing with a bonafide, dyed in the wool, FALSE PROPHET.
2nd Peter 1:20-21
Psalms 119:24
Test #3:
Do they embrace sin as the Scriptures define it? All False Prophets abhor and are disgusted with God's True Covenant.
Psalms 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
1st John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 24:11-12 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Lamentations 4:13,14 For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her, They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.
