Tupperbox allows you to create a fictional profileācalled a Tupperāand speak through it in approved roleplay spaces.
š¦āš„ A Tupper may have its own:
Name and display name
Avatar
Description
Birthday
Speaking brackets
Character group
Optional profile presentation
Tupperbox is a tool of performanceānot anonymity. Every proxied message remains connected to the Discord member who sent it.
šŖ CREATE YOUR TUPPER
The easiest method is the official dashboard:
https://tupperbox.app/dashboard
Sign in through Discord.
Open Tupper List.
Select Add Tupper.
Enter the characterās name.
Choose unique brackets.
Upload a square avatar.
Add any optional description or details.
Save your changes.
Your brackets must contain the exact word text. That word represents whatever you want the character to say.
š¦āš„ Example brackets:
gal:text
To speak through that character:
gal:Welcome to Holme.
Tupperbox removes the original message and replaces it with one bearing the characterās name and avatar.
š¦āš„ You may also register a character by privately messaging Tupperbox:
tul!register "Character Name" character:text
If the characterās name contains spaces, place it inside quotation marks.
š¼ļø ADDING AN AVATAR
The dashboard lets you upload and position the avatar visually.
You may also attach an image while using:
tul!avatar "Character Name"
Avatars are displayed as squares and then circularly cropped by Discord. Use a close, clearly visible image without important details near the corners.
š VIEWING YOUR CHARACTERS
tul!list
Shows your Tuppers.
tul!show "Character Name"
Displays information about one character.
tul!dash
Provides access to the dashboard.
āļø CONTROLLING A PROXIED MESSAGE
React to one of your Tupper messages with:
ā ā Delete your proxied message.
š ā Edit your proxied message.
ā ā Identify the Discord member responsible for a proxy.
š¦āš„You may also use:
tul!edit
tul!delete
tul!showuser
Reply to the relevant proxy when using these commands.
š„ AUTOPROXY
Autoproxy allows messages to be sent through a character without typing brackets every time.
Because accidental proxies are easy to send, beginners should use ordinary brackets first.
To stop autoproxy:
tul!auto off
While autoproxy is active:
\
at the beginning of a message sends that one message as yourself.
\
sends the message as yourself and clears the selected Tupper.
š PRIVACY
Tupper lists are publicly searchable by default. If you want your character list hidden globally, use:
tul!private on
Privacy hides your searchable character information. It does not make proxied messages anonymous or prevent Custodians from identifying their sender.
Do not place personal information, legal names, addresses, identification documents, passwords, medical information, or financial information in a Tupper profile.
āļø THE LAWS OF HOLME STILL APPLY
Tuppers may only be used in channels where character proxying has been authorized.
You may not use a Tupper to:
Impersonate another member.
Imitate a Custodian or server owner.
Pretend to be an official server bot.
Issue false announcements or moderation notices.
Evade a block, restriction, or moderation action.
Harass someone through a fictional character.
Present fan roleplay as official book canon.
Circumvent another memberās boundaries.
Introduce NSFW material into Holmeās public spaces.
Official founders and canon characters must never be presented as authoritative voices of the server unless the server owner has approved that use.
You remain responsible for everything your Tupper says.
š ļø IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG
Run:
tul!diagnose
If your messages are unexpectedly appearing through a character:
tul!auto off
If you no longer want Tupperbox checking your messages in Holme:
tul!proxy off server
