📜 STORYBOT — THE UNWRITTEN CHRONICLE

StoryBot allows Holmans to create one unpredictable story together. One member begins the chronicle, another is chosen to continue it, and the narrative travels randomly from writer to writer until it reaches its conclusion.

No single participant controls where the story goes.

JOIN THE AUTHORS

/join

Adds you to StoryBot’s active author list. If you previously paused your participation, /join returns you to active writing.

Keep your Discord DMs open so StoryBot can notify you and request your contribution when your turn arrives.

✍️ Joining means you accept that:

• You may be selected at random.
• You should respond when reasonably able.
• Later writers may change the story’s direction.
• No participant owns the communal narrative.
• Every contribution must obey Holme’s laws.

/feedback

Sends appropriate feedback about StoryBot to its developer. Use this for genuine suggestions or technical concerns—not spam.

/keypad

This is StoryBot’s deliberately mysterious hidden feature. It is not required for ordinary collaborative storytelling. Curious archivists may investigate it for themselves.

WRITING ETIQUETTE

Keep contributions readable and give the next author something usable.

⚠️ Do not:

• End the entire story immediately without good reason.
• Repeatedly erase another writer’s contribution through retcons.
• Insert explicit sexual content or prohibited material.
• Target, mock, or impersonate another member.
• Use someone else’s original character without permission.

Translomatic provides real-time message translation within selected Holman channels. It allows members who speak different languages to meet, converse, exchange ideas, and participate in the community without requiring everyone to write fluently in English.

HOW TRANSLATION WORKS

💬 In a channel where Translomatic has been enabled:

1. Write and send your message normally.
2. Translomatic detects the message.
3. The bot translates it into the configured language.
4. The translation is delivered through a Discord webhook.
5. Other members may continue the conversation in their preferred language.

You do not need to copy every message into an external translator. The process occurs directly within the approved Discord channel.

Translated messages may resemble ordinary member messages because Translomatic uses webhooks. Check the message’s webhook or bot indicator whenever its source is unclear.

• Write complete and reasonably concise sentences.
• Avoid excessive abbreviations.
• Preserve important names and titles carefully.
• Explain uncommon Holman or Emora Chronicles terminology.
• Ask the original speaker when a translation seems uncertain.
• Never ridicule someone for imperfect English or mistranslation.

The original message—not the automated translation—should be treated as the authoritative wording.

PRIVACY AND SAFETY

Only use Translomatic in approved public community channels.

• Addresses or financial information.

Each Citizen may sound one call every six hours. Participation is always optional, and spam, deceptive gatherings, harassment, or deliberate misuse will not be tolerated.

The Garden of Masques is Holme’s dedicated roleplay space—a living garden where Citizens may enter beneath another name and create stories together.

Roleplay requires a personal Tupperbox character. Before entering the Garden, visit the Workshop and create, configure, and test your own Tupper.

The Workshop contains the complete member guide and a safe place to configure and test your character before roleplaying publicly.

WHAT IS TUPPERBOX?

Tupperbox allows you to create a fictional character profile called a Tupper. Each Tupper may possess its own:

• Name
• Display name
• Avatar
• Description
• Tag
• Speaking brackets

When you write using the character’s brackets, Tupperbox presents the message using that character’s name and avatar.

A Tupper is a roleplaying tool—not an anonymous identity. Every proxied message remains connected to the Discord member who sent it. You remain responsible for everything your Tupper says.

BEFORE YOU ROLEPLAY

1. Enter the Tupperbox Workshop.
2. Create your own Tupper.
3. Give it a unique name, avatar, description, and brackets.
4. Test the character inside the Workshop.
5. Confirm that its name and avatar display correctly.
6. Enter the Garden of Masques and begin roleplaying.

Do not ask another member to create or operate your character for you. Custodians may help troubleshoot, but every Citizen is responsible for maintaining their own Tuppers.

THE LAWS OF THE GARDEN

All roleplay must remain SFW and comply with every law of Holme.

• Impersonate another member, Custodian, bot, or official account.
• Use a protected character without permission.
• Evade moderation or conceal responsibility.
• Harass, deceive, or pressure another participant.
• Ignore consent, boundaries, or requests to end a scene.
• Present community roleplay as official Emora Chronicles canon.
• Post prohibited, hateful, or sexually explicit material.

Roleplay is collaborative. Allow others to control their own characters, discuss boundaries when necessary, and never determine another character’s actions without that player’s permission.
