[BFComms] Battle Royale Duos Matchmaking Resolved

We've resolved the issue with Battle Royale Duos, and matchmaking is back online across all platforms. You may need to restart your game or re-queue to jump back in.

Thank you for your patience while we resolved this.

[BFComms] Casual Breakthrough Matchmaking resolved

We have deployed a backend fix to resolve the Casual Breakthrough matchmaking problem. It might take a while before the update is deployed to all servers, so you might still return to the main menu from time to time after searching for a game. Requeuing should now get you into a game more quickly. Thanks for your patience.

@Game News

[BFComms] Casual Breakthrough Matchmaking

We are aware that queueing for Casual Breakthrough is currently not working properly, and some players are getting put back into the main menu after successfully matchmaking initially. We're investigating the root cause of this problem and will update you as we make progress. In the meantime, players have reported that trying a few times can be successful.

@Game News

[BFComms] Additional Matchmaking Backend Changes

We have now made additional changes to the matchmaking update we performed last week. This should improve the situation where players experienced an excess of bots in their lobbies when enough players are queuing for matches. Please keep in mind that limiting your matchmaking searches to only a few maps and modes might prevent you from experiencing persistent lobbies if your choices are too limited. We'll keep you posted as we make progress.
Thanks for your feedback after the changes, it's been very helpful!

Match & Lobby Continuity Test: Keep Squads Together

[BFComms] Match & Lobby Continuity Change

Over the next few days, you might start seeing more familiar faces across consecutive matches.

Weโ€™re testing some backend matchmaking tweaks designed to keep more players together between rounds whenever conditions allow.

We expect this to be more noticeable in the official playlists where everyone shares the same map and mode rotation.

As part of this, the team is aware of a small error message displaying at the bottom right of the screen when joining a match. Gameplay and matchmaking remain unaffected while the team works on a fix.

Because this is an active test, weโ€™ll be monitoring matchmaking health and lobby balance closely, and may dial things back or pause adjustments if needed.

Drop into a few rounds and let us know how your games feel.

Battlefield 6/REDSEC: Looking Ahead To Season 5 And Beyond

Season 5 kicks off Year 2 of Battlefield 6 with combat updates, vehicle tuning, REDSEC changes, and more.

Battlefield 6 Season 5 and Beyond: Whatโ€™s Ahead

Battlefield Community,

We've heard your feedback about wanting more chances to use the Top Gun cosmetics you may have acquired earlier this season.

As part of our latest update, we have lifted the class restrictions for the Lt. Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw and the Lt. Robert "Bob" Floyd skins. Now, both of these skins will be available to utilize with any NATO class.

If you haven't already had a chance to grab these character skins, both have returned to the store and will be available until the end of Season 4.

See you in the skies, pilots.

Beyond the new content, we also want to use this Community Update to give you some early context on some of the changes arriving alongside Season 5, ahead of our full reveal soon to follow. That includes updates to combat, how we're approaching matchmaking and REDSEC playlist rotations, new updates for Portal, and more.

Take an early look at some of whatโ€™s coming with the first phase of Season 5 here or on our website.

Battlefield 6 Season 5: Siege of Vegas Update

Battlefield Season 5: Below Radar Stays for Launchers

[BFComms] Anti-Air Below Radar Clarification

Today's blog incorrectly stated that we are removing Below Radar for the SLM-93A and Igla launchers.

This was a miscommunication. While we tested this adjustment in Battlefield Labs, it only partly met our design goals. Based on test results and player feedback, we decided to not go live with this change at the launch of Season 5.

Both launchers will retain Below Radar functionality while we continue to look into potential design tweaks and balance around MANPADS, Below Radar, and air vehicles.

Thank you for all your feedback and we're excited to see you in Vegas!

Hello there, @Game News!

With the arrival of Tidal Strike, it is once again time to hear how your experience has been with Battlefield 6. Our Community Survey is now live.

These surveys help us understand the overall experience of playing Battlefield and being part of the community. Your responses help us identify trends, dig deeper into specific topics, and prioritise areas where we can improve.

As always, this is just one of the ways we gather feedback. There are plenty of other routes, where we take in more of your comments directly rather than specific questions. 1.4.3.1 Status Update Proximity Chat & REDSEC

[BFComms] 1.4.3.1 Known Issues and Status Roundup - September 18

Today, we wanted to follow up on our previous update as we head into the weekend. Hereโ€™s a status update on what weโ€™re currently investigating as of September 18.

  • ** Proximity Chat Status**: Proximity Chat will remain disabled throughout the weekend as we continue to investigate the issues related to the feature. We will provide an update once we re-enable it.
  • Matchmaking in REDSEC: From our data, as well as comments from the community, matchmaking has stabilized since the release of 1.4.3.1, and we are continuing to monitor it as one of our highest priorities over the course of the weekend.ย
  • Missing Weapon Attachments: We have investigated the issue of missing attachments. We are seeing that this issue is isolated to the Firing Range and does not affect live multiplayer or REDSEC matches. We will continue to investigate and work on a resolution.
  • Vehicle Spawn Protection: We've seen some confusion recently regarding "random" out-of-bounds messages triggering in areas of the map that previously were safe to explore. To clarify, this is an intentional design feature to prevent players from blocking or camping active vehicle spawns. If you find yourself staring at an OOB warning in a seemingly normal spot, it's because you are in a vehicle spawn zone. The warning is designed to keep vehicle deployment predictable and fair for both teams. We appreciate you calling this out, and we are discussing how we can more clearly highlight this functionality in the future.
  • Incorrect HUD Damage Tracking in REDSEC: We are investigating an issue where weapon damage numbers exceeding 100 are not displaying accurately in the player HUD. This is primarily occurring within REDSEC matches. Please note that actual damage dealt is calculated correctly on the backend as your weapons are dealing their full intended damage. Only the visual indicator on your screen is displaying incorrectly. We are actively working on a fix to restore accurate HUD damage readouts and will share updates as soon as they are confirmed.
  • Missing Hit Indicators on Armor in REDSEC: We are investigating an issue where players wearing armor do not receive incoming damage and directional indicators when shot. Our team is actively working on a fix to restore these hit indicators and we will share when we have a resolution.
  • Delay in HUD notifications: We have deployed a server-side backend change to resolve an issue which caused delays in the in-game UI. The notifications should now be instant again.
  • Zeroing on Sniper Rifles: We have found the underlying issue which causes the Zeroing indicator to be missing from Sniper Rifles. This fix will require a client update, and weโ€™ll let you know when we are able to deploy a patch for this.
  • Interdictor in Gauntlet: We are aware of reports from players that the Interdictor can do an unintended amount of damage in Gauntlet. We are looking to adjust the damage to bring it back in line with the intended range we introduced in 1.4.3.0.ย

The team is actively pushing forward on these fixes as well as the previous ones we mentioned earlier this week. We will share updates as more information becomes available.

Have a great weekend, and thank you for your patience.

BF6 Update 1.4.3.0 Known Issues & Status

[BFComms] 1.4.3.0 Known Issues and Status Roundup - September 16

With Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 now live, we wanted to give you an update on what weโ€™re currently investigating following the patch and the additional client hotfix deployed today, September 16.

  • Missing Weapon Attachments: Weโ€™re investigating reports of missing/switching attachments since Season 4 Phase 3 went live.
  • Battle Royale Modes Matchmaking: We are continuing to investigate the underlying issue. As this doesnโ€™t affect all players in all regions, this has been more difficult to pin down.ย
  • Disabled Proximity Chat: We have disabled Proximity Chat to investigate an issue related to the feature and will provide an update once we re-enable it.
  • Minimap Issue: The underlying issue with the Minimap being invisible when downed has been found. We're working to include a fix for this in our next client update.
  • Deep Six Event Pop Up: We resolved an issue that caused the Deep Six Event information screen to pop up every time you visited the event tab. This should now only happen the first time you navigate to the tab.
  • Deep Six Event Contracts: We have identified and resolved an issue with the Deep Six Collection event contracts. We have rolled out this fix, and players should now receive contracts at the intended level.
  • Delayed In-Game Notifications: We're investigating reports of in-game notifications being delayed (scoreboard, hit indicators) and will update you once we have more information.
  • Javelin Anticheat: The Anticheat team has deployed a new Javelin version, which should now be compatible with the Windows Insider Builds that had previously not been supported.

The team is actively looking into further updates to resolve bugs currently encountered, and weโ€™re continuing to investigate additional reports as they come in. We'll share updates as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience.
