Shrinebreaker Update: Guild Chat, Walls & Warden Changes

Resumen

Magestorm Hub shares the Shrinebreaker update, featuring guild chat across taverns and arenas, improved Warden spell-point recovery near enemy shrines, and reduced slow effects when crossing passable walls. It also adds clearer wall-resistance messages, Mindweaver spells that pass through see-through walls, and an option to always display experience numbers.

Shrinebreaker update - Sat, Oct 24, 2026

  • Guild chat. Type /g and your message to talk to your guild wherever its members are, in the tavern or in any arena, private matches too; guild lines show in rose, marked [Guild]. The To: picker beside the chat line sends to All, Team or Guild (Tab switches it while typing in an arena), and the painted tavern's chat has a new Guild tab that shows your guild's lines and sends what you type to them.

  • Wardens regain spell points near an enemy shrine. Standing near an enemy shrine no longer stops a Warden's spell points from refilling: they now trickle back slowly, about a third of a point a second.

  • Passable walls slow you less. Walking or running through a Tide Wall, Rime Wall, Breath Wall or another passable wall now slows you only as you pass each face, and you speed up again right away, so wading through costs about a third of the time it did. Moving sideways through one is no longer slowed.

  • Walls tell you when they resist. When your spell does nothing to a wall, such as a Rime Dart against a Frost Wall, you now get a line like "The Frost Wall resists your Rime Dart I."

  • Mind spells through see-through walls. A Mindweaver's Mind Shock, Mind Ache, Mind Rend and Thoughtburn now pass through see-through spell walls such as Barrow Cage, Pewter Bulwark, Barrow Gate, Shrine Haven and Cairn Ward. Solid-looking walls like Cairn Wall and Frost Wall still block them.

  • Experience numbers. A new Config option, Experience numbers, can show your experience bar's numbers all the time instead of only when you hover over the bars.

  • Guild tags easier to read. In the tavern's chat, guild tags beside players' names are now a lighter silver that stands out on the dark chat panel.
