South-Asian tourist in Lebanon with Shia name

Hey guys!

Sorry if the post is against guidelines but I have some general question, and hope they are not too «stupid».

I’m heading into Beirut this Thursday just to explore and would love some tips for what I can expect when traveling in Lebanon.

I’m ethnically Pakistani but I grew up in Norway and have a Norwegian if not American accent in English (the English we learn). I also have a very Shia name (although not Shia). From what I’ve read, some south Asians have some bad experiences due to their ethnicity, and others face some issues due to them being Shia I read.

Will any of these two result in some problems, for example at the airport or when introducing myself to people?
