To my Lebanese brothers and sisters,
I was watching a video that was talking about the Christian villages that are being bombed and bulldozed by Isreal. Quite frankly, this should be at the top of the news chain for the masses to be aware of. These are CLEAR human rights violations.
It pains me that Christian’s are not talking about this as much as they should. The outer (outside of the country, non Lebanese who aren’t directly affected) aren’t outraged enough. It’s ironic that in the US for example we claim to be Christians but honestly, so many are selective performative Christians. Israel’s defense minister says it will be CONTROLLING southern Lebanon?? Up to the Latani river? They sat in a room discussing this. Why did the Berlin conference come to memory when I watched the video of him saying that? It’s rubbish.
I’ve never been to Lebanon and I’m not Lebanese or even arab (though my country does have some mixture in some places). But the Lebanese people have been in my fatherland for centuries and have been and continue to be great people in our country. Shit we even made our own spinoff of shawarma learning it from you guys. I went to university with so many Lebanese people and they’re all great people. So when my friends are in pain, I show up. Obviously there’s so much more to do than just writing but it has to be said.
Can’t take Isreal seriously anyways. After all, they were 1 of 3 countries (US and Argentina) that voted no in the UN’s recognition of calling the trans Atlantic slave trade the grave crime against humanity. Can’t take genocidal maniacs seriously anyways. Same type of people running false flag arson and gratti actions on their own properties.
My love is with you all. To the non-Lebanese who can afford to, donate and support to verifiable and legitimate charitable services. You can sacrifice 1 of your 70% sugar coffee trips.
Anyways, release the Epstein files and to the ones reading this that support Isreal, the IDF and the war going on currently while living in comfort of their ...

I know this seems like simple question, but like genuinely what do you think is the main reason for this rivalry.
Tell me reasons between the lebanese themselves, reasons between Saudi and Iran, reasons between Hezb and ISIS..
I would like a full picture of this.

The part of me that was scared in the market — of being a Jew among Hezbollah fighters, among people who hated people like me so much that they would play marching music about killing us — sympathizes with Israel wanting to rid the region of men whose goal in life is to eradicate Jews. The rest of me wonders about Rami and his family. Are they safe? Has their neighborhood been hit? Have they already evacuated? Will they be packing up and leaving today?

Can't bring myself to comment or post more about their death as one of them was a dear and close friend and the other was a dear friend of friends, this post was only made as remembrance for both of them. And to clarify that they were in full ems gear and on a motorbike owned by the nabatieh ems service neither them or their parents who are known in nabatieh were even close to being affiliataffiliatanyone. There was also a video by a french news channel it can be easily found but I'm not going to share it for the sake of their parents and dads who were at the funeral.

Any Lebanese Catan girls here who'd appreciate some good fun and a change of mood?
---
Hey! My friends and I play Catan online almost every week. They're awesome people... and
I'm the only regular female in the group for now, and sometimes I want some more "feminine" presence vs feeling like I'm in a boys-only gang
I'm 34, and the group age range is mid 20s to early 40s. If you're down, dm me! I'm hosting a game tonight

Hello, hope all is well and everyone is safe in recent circumstances, I require a bit of assistance so I come here asking for help.
For some context, I lived my life abroad, not necessarily privileged in some aspects, learned that I need to get things on my own through my own responsibility and work, but abroad overall to give you an idea how I think, and returned to Lebanon for university in 2020.
To be precise and not too personal, I deal with quite toxic family members who aren’t exactly too keen on my personal goals or aspirations. We do not get along on philosophical, moral and financial matters, I see a pattern in this with Lebanese families as they tend to plan and take decisions for you then try convincing it is gods way or what you want.
The reason I returned was the factor that I did not want to be a burden on anyone financially, and opted for joining a university as freshman, and figuring out there’s no financial aid I applied to continue as freshman to another university that’s prestigious (I did not care about that my concern was given I have a parent that works there I can receive a tuition free education) it was only after I joined/finished the first semester that I was told I must repeat the freshman because the uni is so prestigious that they don’t consider or take into account the previous unis courses. To make the parent happy (“this is a opportunity people kill to have, people sell their soul and land to put their children here, etc.”) repeated, stayed and had to join the only major they would accept me in lived miserable for the past years.
The schedule was ridiculous, courses insignificant and no skills and was stuck in a situation where best years of my life wasted and I could not even manage to get a job to help my family’s situation, no talents or skills, no driver license due to nef3a closed, now in second semester of a masters 1 year left of it, completely useless and a bum Sharmoota in the making, it was ass to ass and plenty of depression.
I got mad and depressed left...

And now today: Naim Qassim pledges support for Iran, vows Hezbollah will avenge the assassination of Khamenei and fighting will not stop until Iran says so.
How many more foreign support wars need to be started for people to realize they are a menace to our national interests?
Do people think that if hizb didn’t exist that Israel would not touch Lebanon?
I think the biggest mistake hizb did was get involved on Oct 7. They should’ve just stayed as protectors from future Israeli land grabs. What were the peoples feelings towards the hizb pre Oct 7??
Side question:
Do I have to curse the hizb to not get downvoted into oblivion..?

Hi all,
Obviously I won't rehash the details of Nasrallah's death or the pager attack. Given the very nature of these attacks, my personal opinion, again it's an opinion, is that Hezbollah may be heavily infiltrated by Israel.

What the fuck is going on anymore? Now both our neighbours want to invade us. One is an expansionist country that want to take our land and the other is led by an ex islamic terrorist.

Suppose you could have a conversation with your 2018 self — but it wouldn’t change the future.
Before the Thawra, the financial collapse, the fuel and electricity shortages. Before the port explosion, COVID, the crypto/NFT craze, the AI job apocalypse, Ukraine war, Oct 7, and the wars in Lebanon.
What would you say? And do you think your 2018 self would even believe you?
