Okay, so I’m 14, and I’m Muslim, but I don’t believe in any of that. It doesn’t make sense to me. I force myself to do Muslim things, like practicing the prayers, but I never feel like I’m connecting to it. And I’m extremely positive that I like guys; it’s just that the environment I’m in always shames me for it. I’m a Black kid, and my family is not only religious but also makes me deal with the fact that my mom and dad won’t respect or like me if I’m bi. My mom might, but my dad has said multiple times that if we come out as gay, he’s kicking us out and going no-contact. It’s scary to lose my family over my sexuality. I’ve dated girls, and I like it, but I also find bits attractive.
