Summary

The CommunityOne Builders Help community announced an issue with their bot installations caused by a high volume of automated direct messages sent to servers, which triggered an automatic flag on Discord. They are currently appealing the flag and contacting Discord support for resolution, noting that existing bot installations are unaffected while new installs are experiencing disruption. Update on bot installs

If you’re new here and ran into issues installing our bot, here’s what’s going on and what we’re doing to fix it:

What happened
- Last night we sent a DM to servers to share our new server listing page.
- That high volume of DMs triggered an automatic flag on Discord’s side.

What we’re doing
- We’ve already submitted an appeal.
- We’re also actively contacting Discord support/contacts to get clarification and next steps.
- We’ll post updates here as soon as we hear back.

Current status
- If you already have the bot installed, everything is operating normally.
- The main impact is on new installs (and possibly onboarding/authorization).

We’re sorry for the disruption—and for the DM. We’re hoping this gets resolved quickly.

Can you help?
If you know anyone in Discord Developer Support or Trust & Safety who can help escalate, please DM us.
