Make sure to claim any spaces you don't want wiped! This includes all temporary bases and supplies left outside your claimed areas.

Team up with someone if you're not able to claim land yet! Some players don't mind housing your stuff until after monthly trim happens. Work together, there's lots of opportunity in reaching out!

✨ Hey Wisterwildlings! Quick little clarification I want to share — and a big thank you to @[Spirit of the Wild] _Luxina ☠ a for catching this one! 🌸

When you deposit money into your /lands bank from your personal /balance, every Lands transaction will always pull from your Lands bank first — this includes both new land claims and upkeep payments.

If your Lands bank doesn’t have enough to cover the full amount, it’ll automatically use your personal balance for the rest.

🌿 Why this matters:
If you pre-deposit your upkeep funds and then claim additional chunks afterward, those claim costs may use your Lands bank balance before upkeep is due.

💡 Tip: After making new claims, double-check your /lands balance to make sure you have enough in your Lands account to cover upkeep.

We’ve got some exciting progress to share as we continue shaping a more sustainable and ever-evolving world for everyone to explore! I learned a ton while working on chunk trimming today, and I’m thrilled to roll out what’s next for Wisterwild’s long-term world management.

✨ What’s New:

• 🏡 Claim Your Land: Moving forward, all builds and items you want preserved will need to be inside a claimed chunk using /lands claim.
• The regular wilderness regeneration schedule still applies so claim your land if you don't want it reset during monthly chunk trimming!
• 💰 Updated Chunk Costs:
• Your first chunk remains free (woo!).
• The second chunk costs $250.
• Starting from the third chunk, each new claim increases by 10% (for example: $250 → $275 → $302.50 → $332.75, and so on). This price may not show up in game until the server runs its next reboot.
• These new rates apply to chunks you claim from here on out — everything you already own stays as is.
• 🗓️ Monthly Trims: Regular world trims will now happen monthly to keep things fresh! The next scheduled trim is Tuesday, November 4th (tentative).

🌍 Why This Matters:

This system keeps the world vibrant and full of discovery — allowing mineshafts, ancient cities, trial chambers, and other structures to regenerate with fresh loot each month. Only claimed player areas and key community builds like spawn and market will stay intact, while the rest of the world rejuvenates for new adventures!

We’re steadily building towards a smoother, long-lasting world that stays exciting and balanced for everyone. 💜

We’ve made some important tweaks to keep our world healthy, smooth, and sustainable! 🌎💫 These changes balance server performance with fair upkeep, making Wisterwild cozier for everyone.

🌱 What’s Changing

Wilderness Regenerations now happen every 14 days instead of 30.
➝ This helps unused areas refresh more often, keeping the wilds lively and reducing lag.

Claim Upkeep is now due every 14 days (instead of 30). The cost is $5 per chunk per cycle.
➝ That’s the same as before ($10 per month), but split into smaller payments so it’s easier to stay on top of.

🌿 What This Means for You

Claimed areas remain safe from regenerations as long as upkeep is covered or you keep interacting with your chunks using the schedule posted in FAQ'S

Unclaimed, inactive areas refresh more often, opening new opportunities for builds and exploration while also keeping the world file size a bit more manageable.

Smaller upkeep payments mean less “big bill stress” — just check in every couple weeks instead of once a month. 🎉

✨ TL;DR: Faster wilderness refreshes + smaller, more manageable upkeep payments = a cleaner, smoother Wisterwild! 🪻

:herb: Hello Fellow Wisterwildlings! :herb:

Our world has been growing exponentially — which is amazing — but it also means it’s time for a trim! :scissors:

On Tuesday (see below for the exact date/time in your time zone), the server will go offline briefly while we reduce the world file size.

:lock: What’s Being Saved

• All areas with at least 5 minutes of interactions (chunks where players have lived or spent time).
• All Lands claims (/lands claim areas).
• Everything else will be cleared.
  :point_right: If you’ve set up a temporary base or stash somewhere and haven’t spent much time there yet, make sure to grab your things or hang out there for a few minutes so it registers as active!

:tools: Why Are We Doing This?
When the world file grows too large, it can cause serious issues like:
- Chunks randomly deleting.
- Nametagged mobs despawning.
- New data not saving properly.

Regular trimming keeps the world stable, healthy, and playable for everyone. :green_heart:

:earth_africa: What This Means for You
This trimming is in addition to our current systems like WildRegeneration, Lands claiming, and upkeep. Nothing is being replaced.

A world border of 250k blocks from spawn will also be introduced. You can still explore freely within this radius — it’s huge — but it helps us manage performance and file size. If you have a base beyond 250k blocks, please open a ticket BEFORE chunk trim on Tuesday so we can support you!

:sparkles: And don’t worry: we’re also cooking up some new features for Season 2 in December to make world management even smoother and more sustainable long-term.

Unfortunately we will not be able to update to the latest update today. Floodgate and Geyser have shared on their end they do not have compatibility with the latest release just yet which means the majority of Wisterwild will be unable to join if we do update so I'm in the process of restoring the server to when I pulled it offline.

I'm keeping an eye out on Geyser's Discord for when they release the latest updates but, according to them, they don't know when that will be.

Thank you for your patience while I worked on this today!! Can't wait to be back in game with you all again!

Still no update from Purpur. If you update your Java game version to 1.21.9 you will need to roll back to 1.21.8 or older to play while we wait for the latest release.

Bedrock should be able to join on the latest Bedrock release; however, we are still on pre-copper-age content so you won't see if yet in the server.

Hi everyone!

Today Mojang has released a new update! Exciting!!

HOWEVER ...

Purpur (our server version) has not received an update yet. I have to wait for their release, then for our server host to receive that release, in order for me to update the server. This delay can be anywhere from a few hours to a day or two. This depends on when Purpur releases, and GGServers retrieves.

Servers tend to have a delay between updates so please stay patient while I eagerly await the latest version to be issued out.
