Fixing Takedowns: Anti-Cheat Proposal for MMA RISE TO CHAMPI

Résumé

The MMA RISE TO CHAMPION 🥊 community is discussing a major overhaul to the game's takedown mechanics to combat the rise of autoclickers. This proposal suggests replacing the current clicking system with a strategic WASD-based choice mechanic to ensure fair play and improve the experience for new players. By implementing a sequence-based defense system, the game aims to eliminate cheating and keep the competitive environment healthy for all fighters.

  • Yes I know league is first update. Yes I know you have received a million suggestions on this. Yes I know you think clicking is the easiest for all devices.
  • HOWEVER, I'll leave this idea anyway and its up to devs choice and evaluation.
  • Rn, everyone uses an autoclicker once they realize they'll get bummed if they don't. It took me 4 games to get autoclicked.
  • As it stands, autoclicking is stopping people from enjoying the game and preventing new players from enjoying it, especially when they get autoclicked their first game.
  • If its not fixed in the upcoming updates, it will cause more damage. Because everyone faces an autoclicker and realizes they have to get and use one too if they want to play the game, spreading like a virus.

  • -MY IDEA:--

  • No clicking system.
  • Simply, you have choices WASD.
  • Defender has choices WASD.
  • You pick your letter. He picks his.
  • Defender gets 3 attempts to choose the correct letter, if he does: he escapes the takedown. If not: submitted.
  • Could also do it in the "shadow boxing way" where first choices example attacker goes W defender goes S. Then Attacker must pick 2 letters and defender also 2. Could force attacker to pick the same first letter (W in this case) but that gives no benefit. Instead attacker can then pick SD or any combination of 2 letters and defender must try match. Third round is then 3 letters of any combination. Defender must get them in the right sequence too in order to escape.

  • The first method of 1 letter each round gives a fair chance to both attacker and defender.

  • The combination sequence (ie 3rd round WSD) gives the defender a fair chance at first but as he gets it wrong his chances become more slim. (Makes sense as he'd be getting tired/ losing o2)

This method would prevent cheating, as no one can cheat to know what the other person is picking. Less cheating = happy players and more players. There are obv downfalls but it might be the most suitable approach for now.
