Alrighty, so you all may have noticed that Lam'thulu has been being weird and the chat between discord and in-game hasn't been working.

Unfortunately we have bad news, they still aren't and won't be for a while. Graves has tried to restart Lam'thulu and it did not work. He is on a work trip in another state until Thursday and will not be able to dive into these issues till he gets back home. We apologize for the inconvenience and we will look into a way to compensate for the missed goodies when it is back up.

Genesis Server Consolidation Announcement

Hello everyone.

Unfortunately the Genesis Team has some sad news. Due to the slowing of active members and the cost of the servers and amenities, 3 of our 4 servers with be coming to their End of Life.

As of May 1st, Dread Pirate will be our only server and will be renamed Genesis. April 30th will be Zoloft's, Spicy Nugget's, and Baron Genesis's last day.

Along with this is some of the amenities that go with them. Such as the chat system between Discord and the servers. This service has only been renewed for Dread Pirate and is no longer functioning for the other three servers. We apologize for the inconvenience, but PC and console players can still chat through the Discord lobbies.

Our biggest amenity, Lam’thulu, is still fully active and will continue to be moving forward.

We suggest moving any pals you would like to save into your Global if you haven’t already done so. And again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this has and we appreciate our players for being here and hope for your continued support on our Dread Pirate, soon to be Genesis server.

We are sorry to report some issues with @Zoloft , @Spicy Nugget , and @Dread Pirate . All three have crashed and we cannot manually get them back up. We have attempted twice with no result. We believe it is a server side issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you updated.

Genesis Security Update: PvP & Bot Concerns

Hey everbody! We've had a few things recently going on with server security and we want to be open and honest with you all as we attempt to navigate these issues.

First:

Recently we enabled bases to be viewed on some servers and it was in the process of rolling out everywhere. The setting we used was in the PvP section of server settings. Which is why you were receiving messages about bases being raided and the problem using Might and Vital Elixers. No PvP damage was ever enabled on @Zoloft , @Dread Pirate and @Spicy Nugget . However, Palworld's definition of PvP seems to include giving all players access chests at any guild. It has been turned off in every server except @Baron Genesis . Players on Baron you NEED to put codes on all your chests to prevent stealing. We are looking for a way around this as stealing is not how Genesis defines PvP, but so far have not found anything to help issue in Baron. So @Baron Genesis please lock all your chests.

Second:

We have been hearing of an uptick bots on the discord and poaching. I have turned off many normal avenues that bots typically spam a discord, but I cannot control DMs. These people generally DO NOT message any member of an admin team as they know it results in an instant ban on any discord server. So we do need your help with this. If you see something, say something. Please feel free to make a #ticket to give us a heads up. We do not want any of you being harassed in any way in your DM.

Genesis Server Update: Automated Raffles & More!

Our beloved @Lam'thulu discord bot has taken over our Raffle system. Raffle will now go live every 8 hours to be more friendly to players in all times zones. And no more waiting🕐 on the GM team to claim your prizes! Make sure to grab the Giveaways role at the top of discord in Channels & Roles so you don't miss out.

Palworld Bug Fix: Protecting Guild Items

It has come to our attention that there is a bug involving the Partner Skills of Flopie, Cave Bat and Illuminat Bat. Their partner skills allow them to hover around you and pick up items around you. This is picking up items that are supposed to be locked to guild. Ie: 🥚Eggs🥚 from breeding pens. This is a Palworld bug and there is nothing we can do to stop these pals from doing it. However, with some testing from the @Game Master team we have a solution. Building around your breeding pens can protect against this. As long as there is walls/windows and a closed door these pals can't steal your 🥚🐣🥚.

These channels are unlocked with your roles. So if you haven't gone up to Channel & Roles to grab your server role you'll be missing out.

Also would like to remind you that we have a dedicated section for the Genesis Rewards bot @Lam'thulu . Please try to use the channels up there to keep clutter in chatting channels to a minimum. I'm loving the enthusiasm for the bot and encourage all here to try it out. There's a guide in #genesis-rewards-guide that can help you learn all the things @Lam'thulu can do. The #genesis-rewards-🧬 channel will show a list of all items others have gotten in game. All items and pals (/breed) in the game code are there except a few that will irritate PalDefender.

Lam'thulu is now back fully functional if you find any bugs please make a ticket. This was essentially a full rework of the bot to allow you to link multiple servers now that we have a 4th server coming online hopefully in the coming days. You can link additional servers you plan on through the /link command and choose where to have your rewards delivered.

Yes, that's right, Baron Genesis goes live on January 1st! This has been a craft of love from @Gravestorm . Taking Palword to another level. Gameplay here will be very different from anything you have experienced. There will be factions :teamdance: ! Pal typing will matter and your team will represent your love :pandaheart: of a Type. While you head out into a world that is very familiar, it is in fact, very different :huh: . Baron Genesis :noxcool: requires you to move with a tad more caution :emoji_82: as PvP will be enabled in certain areas :emoji_67: . But not your typical PvP, there is pal vs pal in Baron Genesis. Your team matters. And guilds do not exist :scaredLamball: , but you will have allies of your faction to guide you along the way . So lean on each other to grow and craft the biggest baddest monsters of your type. :emoji_15:

If you receive the Radar Spheres from the Lam'Thulu bot DO NOT claim them and if you already have them DO NOT throw one, you'll be automatically banned and you'll only be able to get back after making a ticket.

If you already have radar spheres remove them from your inventory so you don't accidentally toss one while swapping between spheres.

Edit: Radar Spheres will no longer appear as rewards from the bot.

Genesis Server Update: Mods Patched, Bosses Back!

Evening Everyone,

I appologize for all the restarts this evening they have been necessary to push most of the mod patches back to the servers. Currently we are about 70% updated. There are a few big mods that are still not updated. We do have our Custom Bosses back though so have fun!

  • 2x & 1.5x Base sizes still are not implemented
  • Oil Extractor anywhere is still not implemented
  • Nightsky Box is still not implemented

All other mods have been patched.

Dailies are back in and can be claimed via !daily for new players starter kits are back in and be claimed via !claim starter

I hope everyone is enjoying the patch so far. I will continue to update you as we bring the servers back to base and then pick back up with all the amazing additons we have planned over the next month which you can read about in my earlier announcements. Anyone having difficulty launching the game or joining the server please remove the Crude Oil Extractor Build Anywhere_P.pak and Base Camp Construction Area x2_P.pak files from your ~mods folder. Those mods aren't updated and will crash you upon launch or joining the server.

Dread Pirate is now live. Please be aware that it takes time for the mod makers to get updates out. We are subject to their timelines.

This update literally broke everything it could break. Please bare with restarts as we continue to get back to base and enjoy Welcome Home!

Spicy Nugget & Zoloft severs are up. Dread Pirate is still being worked on. You will notice your base circle is back to normal this is because the mod is currently crashing the server. To save your bases from being destroyed from deteriorating in the meantime it’s been turned off. Mods will be added back to the server as they are updated,

At this time, due to the newest update that just dropped, the servers will unfortunately be offline until further notice as we have to wait until Paldefender gets patched.

We don’t foresee them being offline for any longer than 12/17
