Team improvements
This is a version of THATSAplusONE’s team, I love playing this team but I feel like I never use gengar. I was having trouble with dark types and rain teams but samurott has made that less of a problem with sacred sword and has also been an excellent utility choice. Is there any obvious problems with the team, and what mega would you suggest instead of gengar?

yup, i just never feel like I can get a substitute up properly which is the only reason I can see playing them over another mon
shadow tag is very good but if im not perish trapping i dont think it has as much value
people always see gengar + incin + rilla and immediately bring their offensive dark types, so I like bringing kommo-o up front with incin or rilla to get set up
oh this actually sounds great
tbh i probably have a thing where i always assume the mega has to be the offensive piece, but gengar is a great disrupter

i do like a lot of bulk in my teams generally, my most played mega is blastoise
but the utility is excellent

the original mon instead of samurott was volcarona with quiver dance, should i change that back? is that covering any weaknesses im not thinking of?
for sure its annoying as heck
and to them has perish song
i wonder if i should put encore somewhere on the team as well?
maybe thats changing it too much
instant encore plus disable is pretty good
that would probably have to take the hisuian samurott slot though, the rest of the team is pretty set
i use it for most of my games to balance out kommo-o's weaknesses
unless its like a crazy bad matchup
it just loses to certain mons
mega delphox for example
zard y
kingambit
but very good into dragon and fairy types
kingambit and archaludon were the reason i added samurott, otherwise i couldnt reliably OHKO them
i have been considering using the cheese stick bc it looks really strong
i just really like the ice punch coverage
ima try games with both and see which one feels more natural
what item would you consider giving gholdengo?
life orb, and give rilla miracle seed or something?
first game led kommo-o and gengar against kingambit and charizard, turn 1 prot and setup + turn 2 disable and aura sphere worked like a charm
my opp didnt realize sun wasnt up anymore and solar beamed 😭
now im having too much trouble with dragon types 😅
getting back to where I started 🙂 team seems to be working better
