MOTHER GUIDE
𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒
Packs typically maintain territory centered around areas that provide reliable access to prey, water, resting sites, and denning areas. While not every portion of their territory is actively defended, core areas receive more protection. Encounters between neighboring packs may be tolerated in peripheral areas.
Prior to a litter arriving, packs may travel extensively throughout their territory while reinforcing boundaries and monitoring resources. Following the arrival of pups, territory use becomes more concentrated around the den and later the rendezvous site. During this period, defense of the immediate denning area becomes a priority, and packs may respond more aggressively to intruders near pups than they would elsewhere. Members may establish their territory and later shift it to follow prey movement.
Territory Requirements
- # • Your OC must be an adult to claim hexes.
- # • Your OC must be in a group.
- # • You may only claim a maximum of 5 hexes.
- # • Your territory may be contested by others.
- # • Fleeing from your territory in the case of a dispute will result in you losing rights to the hex.

Meadow’s Information 🌿
────────
General
Name - Meadow
Age - 4 years
Gender - Female
Rank - Subordinate
Role - Caretaker
ECOs Coat - TBD
Kin - TBD
────────
Personal
Personality - Meadow is gentle, patient, and nurturing, with a particular soft spot for pups. She’s playful and tolerant of their mischief, but still knows when to set boundaries. She prefers avoiding unnecessary conflict, though her calm nature disappears quickly if a pup or vulnerable packmate is threatened. She’s observant, dependable, and rarely panics under pressure.
Description - A graceful adult she-wolf with a calm and approachable appearance. She can usually be found resting near the pups or quietly watching over them while they explore.
Backstory - Meadow grew up helping care for younger wolves and naturally became protective of them. As she matured, she realized she preferred supporting others over competing for status. She eventually took on the role of caretaker, staying with pups during hunts, teaching them about pack life, and retrieving the occasional adventurous pup who wanders a little too far.

Willow’s Information 🌙
────────
General
Name - Willow
Age - 3 years
Gender - Female
Rank - Subordinate
Role - Scout
ECOs Coat - TBD
Kin - TBD
────────
Personal
Personality - Willow is observant, independent, and adventurous. She enjoys travelling beyond the pack’s usual resting areas and is happiest when exploring unfamiliar territory. Although generally quiet, she isn’t shy and communicates clearly when something needs attention.
Willow rarely rushes into danger. She prefers watching from a distance, learning what she’s dealing with, and returning to the pack with information. She’s cautious around strangers but curious enough to investigate them rather than immediately becoming hostile.
Description - A lean, athletic she-wolf built for travelling long distances. Her movements are light and deliberate, and she’s almost constantly scanning her surroundings.
Backstory - Even as a yearling, Willow frequently wandered farther than the others. Instead of discouraging the habit completely, older wolves taught her how to track landmarks, scents, prey and potential threats. Eventually, what had once been troublesome curiosity became useful to the pack.
Now she scouts ahead during movement, searches for safer routes and keeps track of activity near the territory’s borders.

𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖
Prior to a foal being born, mares will briefly depart from their band (remaining nearby). Within 10 minutes in-game, they can gradually guide their foal back to the group. Mares commonly limit interaction between band members and their newborn foals.
Mares will not tolerate their foal wandering too far. If separated, they become defensive or vocal. Familiar mares are often tolerated at a respectful distance, but physical contact is usually limited. Dominant or assertive mothers can be overly precise in their protection. Other band members are more likely to respect their space. If warnings are ignored, mares can escalate to displacement.
𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐄 <:
This system exists to encourage realistic behavior by providing a framework for determining advantages during stallion conflicts. While any stallion may challenge another regardless of age or status, individuals must back down when the odds are clearly stacked against them.
-# Higher scores will indicate a greater likelihood of success. Staff may reference this system when resolving disputes or determining whether a conflict is realistic.
𝐃𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍
-# Dominant stallions are the most successful males in the area. They are typically more assertive, defensive, and experienced than other band stallions. Dominant stallions have proven safety, effective protection, strength, and knowledge. Engaging in prolonged, physical combat with dominant males may bring serious risks.𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐌 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍
-# Harem stallions function as the primary adult male of a particular band. These stallions offer protection, keeping the band cohesive and safe from takeovers. Harem stallions may intervene when internal mares disputes have gotten intense. Furthermore, they retain exclusive access to bond with their mares, along with the ability to sire foals within their group.𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍
-# Subordinate stallions are matured males that remain within or near a harem without having access to mares. They are often younger, lower ranking, closely related, low-testosterone individuals, or not seen as an immediate threat by the dominant stallion. They are more restrained and cautious, often involving movement along the edges of the group, quick yielding during conflict, and avoidance of direct competition.-# Subordinate stallions may remain close to the band, increase vigilance, or contribute indirectly to group stability, but they do not control mare movement. Subordinate stallions may attempt to rise in status, however it could lead to expulsion.
𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍
-# Bachelor stallions are mature individuals that do not currently hold a band. These males establish social relationships, practice sparring behaviors, and develop the skills needed for future competition. Bachelor stallions spend much of their time searching for opportunities and may challenge resident stallions, though successful takeovers are relatively uncommon.

In-game, you cannot automatically join groups or know their exact location. Individuals must be found naturally through movement, calls, scent, and observation, just as they would in the wild. Herds and bands are not pre-formed for you, and characters are expected to locate others on their own rather than being placed directly into social groups.
If you are alone, move toward realistic gathering points such as water sources, grazing areas, migration routes, or the direction of distant calls. Solitary wandering is normal at first, but prolonged isolation usually means your character should begin actively seeking herd activity rather than waiting.
