Bright Powder and Quick Claw are not generally considered good items in competitive pokemon, you typically want items that will most likely trigger in each game or so

either activates due to intimidate or close combat, pretty consistent
Leftovers activates every turn
Life Orb activates every time you deal damage
Choice Scarf is always active
Mystic Water is always active as long as you use a water type attack
Quick Claw is just 20% of the time active
