A small study to show how God helps
Genesis 2:15-18
Genesis 49:25
Here we read that God gave two responsibilities to man.
- One is to dress and keep the garden of Eden (men should work and not be idle. Being idle is a sin)
- Two is the commandment given to him to not eat from the tree of the knowagle of good and evil. (everyone is responsible for their own actions)
Since God created everything more then one. Like multiple animal types and members of each animal type, multiple plans and trees, multiple planets, 3 different Gods (The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit), but man was alone without any help. Man needs help, because he is not idle. If he was idle, then he wouldn't need help.
Genesis 2:18. the Hebrew expression for helper is עֵזֶר כְּנֶגְדּוֹ (ʿēzer kenegdô)
Ēzer comes from the Hebrew root עזר (ʿ-z-r), meaning to help, support, or provide aid.
The same Hebrew word is frequently used of God Himself as the one who helps His people.
For example: “Our soul hath waited for the LORD: he is our help (ʿēzer) and our shield.”
Psalm 33:20
Now, כְּנֶגְדּוֹ "kenegdô = “corresponding to him / suitable for him / facing him”
The phrase has the idea of: “a helper corresponding to him” or “a helper suitable for him.” Someone who is his counterpart, someone who corresponds to him and is able to stand alongside him. This combination implies a relationship of mutuality and essential support.
God's help is independent of our status, because His plans and blessed and big to help others through you, even when you can't see it.
Exodus 18:1-4
The even:
Exodus 2:11–15
When you have a humbled and surrendered heart you will naturally make God your refuge, which opens the door for God to help you in every good possible way. That is for His good personal plan towards you.
Deuteronomy 33:26-29
2 Kings 6:15-17
Pray that you may see the help of God. If that is good for you and if God is willing, and your prayer is heard, then God will answer it and how you His great support and help for you.
"the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire" are spirits and angles of God ready to battle.
So faith helps us see, because Elisha saw it even without prayer, but the young man needed prayer, because he lacked faith.
Matthew 14:22–33
While we are in the middle of a difficult situation, we may have no idea what God is doing. The servant only saw the enemy, he didn't see how much bigger heavenly army was,
God's help does not always mean that He removes the problem immediately. The enemy was still surrounding them. Their circumstances had not changed yet.
What changed first was the servant's perspective.
We cannot judge God's presence by what we can see. The servant looked at the army and concluded that they were in danger.
Elisha could see something the servant couldn't. What we can see is not necessarily the whole reality of what God is doing.
