SAFETY CONCERN : NEW DISCORD FEATURE

• I apologise for the ping, but for this we see it as necessary we want safety for our members!!

• From the 16th November a new feature will be implemented on all servers that is called "Web Presence" within the settings of a server and it essentially will make your server searchable from all around the web.

• ― The safety concern of this update is that it will show summaries of public channels, covering over all topics (without your username) and making them viewable on the web from then on forward.

• the overall main concern lies with the minors, as it can cause vulnerable points to appear that can be easily abused and tracked to anyone's desire.

• if you want to opt out from this, if you have the option already, go to your settings -> Data & Privacy -> turn off "Show my message content from Discoverable Channels on web pages."

• short version: discord added a feature that will eventually make your messages available to view for anyone on the internet if you don't opt out a automatically enabled setting, which can be a huge safety concern for minors and others.

• Now I believe that for minors in is automatically off. But please check to make sure.

• tutorial provided below. (The screenshots were provided by another server because my discord isnt always updated or anything of that sort.)
