Minecraft Bedrock Server Moves to NetherNet
Resumo
Multigaming community shares details about Minecraft Bedrock’s Oct 27 networking change to NetherNet, designed to improve connection stability, reliability, and security. Dedicated server hosts should update to version 26.60 or newer, open TCP and UDP port 19132, and set transport to nethernet; other players need take no action.
Hello Bedrock players! On Oct 27th we are making changes to our networking technology to improve your connection stability, reliably, and security.
What this means for you:
Do you host your own Bedrock Dedicated Server?
No - You don't need to do anything! Your game, friends connections, realms, experiences, and more will update atomically and you will start receiving the benefits immediately.
Yes - When you log in after Oct 27th and update your Bedrock Dedicated Server to version 26.60, you might need to update some of your networking configurations. But don't worry, follow our migration guide and you're be back to exploring in no time!
Migration Guide: Moving your Minecraft Bedrock Dedicated Server to NetherNet
1. Update your server to the Bedrock Dedicated Server version 26.60 or newer.
2. Open port 19132 for both TCP and UDP. Check your firewall, hosting control panel, and router. If you use port forwarding, forward TCP and UDP port 19132 to the computer running the server.
3. Add your public IP address if needed. If the server is running behind a router, you will need to set your public IP in the server.properties. See the comments for the server-udp-ports property for details.
4. Turn on NetherNet. In server.properties ensure transport is set to nethernet.
We also recommend you set up a reverse HTTP proxy for your server, but it's not required. For details on how to set up a reverse HTTP proxy and other advanced network setups, see the bedrock_server_host_to.html guide included in the Minecraft Bedrock Dedicated Server download bundle or reach out for help.
Thank you for making Minecraft a safe, secure, and fun experience! Game on!
