Stop Crypto Scam Images in Discord

so in addition to not allow regular members to post images, there are some less invasive stuff that u can do
(1) Discord automod to make sure that the account is at least one month old, which will get rid of 20% ish spam accounts.
(2) If you want to be extra careful, you can only allow members with a verified phone number. I think it's a lot easier to recover an account with a verified phone number.
(3) I know servers who manually review everyone coming in to make sure that they are good qualiti members
(4) I also know some servers put everything in jail unless they prove themselves to be good memvers lol

First, auto-moderation is already enabled, but hackers are compromising old, established accounts within the server.

Regarding the phone number requirement, many users don't have one. My server is dedicated to a specific game that requires a PC, and PC users often can't use phone verification.

Do you really expect me to manually grant roles to trusted members every day? I don't have enough moderators to help me with that.

Have u community onboarding enabled too? Appybot verification is easy to set up either

We use automod that catches indentical message with a attachement or embed sent in multiple channel within seconds

If someone triggers this automod they get unverified role so they can't access server again untill they verify themselves from onboarding again

I did this intentionally cause a lot of members were able to recover their discord account but just for one mistake they used to get banned in servers within seconds

So for automated scam/spam we will just asign them unverified role
