Reading Team Preview

The first decisions happen before Turn 1. Team Preview provides information about possible leads, speed control options, defensive pivots, disruption tools and likely win conditions. Strong players evaluate multiple opening sequences instead of committing to a single plan immediately.

Role Compression

Some Pokémon perform several important jobs at once. A single team member might provide offensive pressure, speed control, defensive utility and positional support. This concept, often called role compression, creates flexibility while allowing additional space for specialised partners.
