If Magadha (ancient bihar/north India) was one of the earliest major empires of the Indian subcontinent and the people of Magadha were primarily Indo aryans
then all modern Indo aryan languages ultimately evolved from older Indo aryan languages derived from sanskrit and the prakrits, not from modern Hindi
magadha later became the core of the Maurya Empire which expanded across most of the Indian subcontinent
So we can broadly divide modern Indo aryan languages into eastern central western and southern branches
Most eastern Indo aryan languages, including bhojpuri, maithili, bengali, share ancestry through magadhi prakrit, while hindi belongs mainly to the central Ind aryan branch
