Beginner Guide of Doomsday: Last Survivors - created by CosmicKnight#5190.
Let's have a look together! ✍️

Being set in a post apocalyptic wasteland you gather supplies to build your base and gather heroes to lead squads in fights against infected or other players.
First you want to find a good and active alliance to reap the benefits of a strong community in the game (Buffs from capturing settlements, alliance tech and if you're members are generous extra supplies).
You may want to go ahead and start using speedups manuals and any other goodies you may find but if you can resist the urge to immediately grow you should wait for events for even bigger events. If you want to level your herpes I suggest hunting zombies on the map and selecting camp after battle to continue hunting as each battle decreases the amount of stamina used.

At your HQ there's a building called the research center.. research offers a myriad of benefits in every field of the game. You may want to go ahead and research the combat buffs right away but I recommend holding off on that for two reasons: first if you focus on development there are bonuses like increased construction speed and research speed . These add up with time and will benefit you more if you get them as soon as you can. Second.. combat tech buffs offer a hefty amount of might which can give you a boost if you want to earn a good rank in events. All event offer rewards for completing the given mark but others offer a fun competition where the higher you rank against other player the better your rewards. Rewards like HQ and squad skins the offer permanent bonuses. Save buildings and tech with the highest might yield for these.

There are 4 resources you'll need to upgrade your HQ and facilities steel, food, wood, and oil food and wood are easy to come by but steel is another story. To offset this I found one hero (Back alley doctor) that seems to specialize in steel collecting upgrading him enough to get most of his benefits. As soon as you see steel in the mysterious merchant's stock start stocking up on it as soon as you can you'll need it.

Gathering is where you send squads from you deployment queue to secure resource from nodes found on the map. If you gather on alliance territory you gain gathering speed and your alliance gets a percentage of what you gathered. Alot of events require gathering and as I mentioned before a way to further increase your gathering speed is to focus on equipment. Another way is some heroes are tailored for gathering so leveling up and increasing rank can increase gathering speed and even resource yield.

Look at each hero and examine their skills and talents carefully. You can tailor Each hero for a specific task I already mentioned the back alley doctor which I use for steel but there's another hero named Michelle who increases resource yield when you use her to gather. Also heroes with the zombie hunter talent tree are great for killing zombies on the map and launching rallies. Each 10 levels offers a hero rank for a max of 6 ranks. To upgrade a heroes rank you'll come across Stars. (S) mall stars (M)edium Stars and (L) stars. You should use large stars at level ten as you might get lucky and rank your hero all the way up to rank 4 of the bat and save you a lot of time. When you reach rank 3 you can deploy an additional hero with your main hero. Please note that only your lead commander's talents are active when you deploy a squad. But you still get the benefits from the assistant hero's skills. You might want to focus on legendary heroes as they are the best in the game but you'll find the materials required to upgrade them extremely hard to come by. This is offset a bit by the mysterious merchant, memory store, and radar store. The merchant sells those coveted legendary stars usually for gems but sometimes for resources. The radar store can be upgraded by completing events which refresh every 12 hours. Some events require hero might which increases with hero level rank skill level and talent point. Like I mentioned before waiting to upgrade at events offer the best rewards. Training manuals increase your level if you have enough an easy way to get these is in campaign mode which gathers manuals every five minutes for a total of 24 hours. Get higher levels in campaign for better value manuals. Now focus on legendaries if you can buy elite heroes (the tier below legendary) offer great bonuses so don't neglect this as they are much easier to max out the legendaries.

Doom is where you put your heroes and squads against other players.. Your position can determine the outcome of the battle. Higher might does not always mean better if you pick heroes that buff and place them as assistant s to your heavy hitters that can tremendously change the tide for you in doom.

If you're willing to spend for the extra boost I recommend buying the privilege subscription and the Doom pass along with Gem pass and speed up weekly pass. Also since Materials for equipment are hard to come by any package with materials is a good idea. Also grabbing the pack that offers gems for each unlocked HQ level is a great deal. Most packs increase your vip level which offers daily perks.
Conclusion
Above all have fun and meet new people. It's a cool game with great people.
