Wisterwild was founded on creativity, community and inclusivity. It is our mission to ensure all members feel welcome and safe here.

A simple step members can take to help us support our mission is to be aware of the GIFs we post. Avoid flashing lights and quick changing images to help out our epileptic and image sensitive friends. Movies and games and such will typically have a flashing lights warning but we can't do that with GIFs so let's refrain from choosing them when making a post.

🍃 Welcome to the Donation Center! 🍃 ##

We are delighted to share that our Donation Center is now open and ready for all players to visit. You can warp there anytime with /warp Donations. This charming little building is a space for both new and seasoned players to leave items for others, or to discover treasures that have been shared by the community.

Inside, you will find a disposal sign, and under the stairs a barrel with item frames, glow ink sacs, and signs. These are there so you can label any items you wish to leave, keeping everything neat and easy to explore. The donation center is meant to be a warm and helpful space, where giving and receiving become part of our shared adventure.

We ask that everyone remember a few simple rules to keep the space fair and kind. Take only what you truly need and leave what you do not. Be mindful of your fellow players, and consider leaving items behind for the next adventurer to enjoy.

May this center become a heartwarming hub of generosity and community spirit, where every gift, no matter how small, brings a little more joy to our world. Thank you for helping make our SMP a place full of care, kindness, and shared adventure.

🗺️ Land Claims 🧭

Land claiming provides several crucial benefits to players who utilize this core system:

1. Claimed areas are protected from theft/griefing/unexpected builds in your area
2. Prevents automatic wiping of your builds
3. Grants clear visual borders to your space

Costs

Initial Claim Costs
- First Chunk (16x16): FREE
- Second Chunk: $500
- Third Chunk and beyond: 10% additional cumulative cost for each chunk
- for example:
- first chunk free
- second chunk $500
- third chunk $550
- fourth chunk $605
- fifth chunk $665
and so on

Recurring Upkeep Taxes
- What is Upkeep: Upkeep taxes keep your claim active.
- When is Upkeep due: Every 30 days (server wide due dates, not based on claim dates)
- How much is Upkeep: $10 per chunk claimed
- What if I can't pay it: If upkeep taxes are not paid, your chunks will automatically become unclaimed after 2 days and must be claimed again following the initial claim costs. Partial payments are accepted but will only retain the paid number of chunks. For example, if you own 10 chunks but only have enough upkeep for 6, the remaining 4 will become unclaimed (in order of first to last claimed)

Regenerations

All players are urgently encouraged to claim your areas to prevent automatic regeneration of the chunks. Unclaimed chunks will automatically regenerate every 30 days of no activity (activity is logged as block placements, doors opening, chests opening, etc. Simply walking through a chunk does not reset the activity timer and does not count). Claimed chunks are protected from being regenerated regardless of activity (see Login Requirements below for exceptions).

Login Requirements
In order to keep the map clean and avoid massive amounts of abandoned builds, the land claim plugin implements a login inactivity scale. Assuming a player has enough funds to fully fund Upkeep between logins, if a claim owner has accumulated:
- 15 minutes of playtime: their claim becomes abandoned after 7 days of not logging in
- 30 minutes of playtime:their claim becomes abandoned after 14 days of not logging in
- 12 hours of playtime:their claim becomes abandoned after 30 days of not logging in
- 1 day of playtime:their claim becomes abandoned after 60 days of not logging in
- 30 days of playtime:their claim becomes abandoned after 80 days of not logging in

Abandoned claims will become automatically unclaimed and will then be subject to the 30 day regeneration period.

How to Claim

1. Stand in the area you wish to claim
2. Type /lands claim
3. You will see a green border around the chunk you've claimed. If you need to move the initial claim, type /lands unclaim all confirm
4. there is only a 15% reimbursement for unclaiming chunks so make sure you're claiming properly
5. To claim additional chunks, stand in the next chunk and type /lands claim
6. the cost to claim will automatically be deducted from your balance
7. If you don't have enough funds, it won't let you claim
8. To add players to your claim, type /lands trust
9. to remove a player, type /lands untrust
10. You can also access additional settings by typing /lands
11. this will open a GUI where you can manage members
12. If you want to use a visual map to claim, type /lands map
13. note: all claims must be connected to your initial claim (CANCELLED - does not need to be connected!)

Random Teleport

To teleport to a random location between 800 and 500,000 blocks from spawn, type /lands:wild
Note: there is a $50 cost per use and 10 minute cooldown before another random teleport can be used

The above data may be adjusted as needed - stay up to date by checking the FAQ channels and announcements regularly

⚠️ Important Update ⚠️

After much consideration, review and research in finding the optimal plugin setup, it has been determined we will no longer be wiping builds at the end of the season 🎉

I still need to finish testing but I've found a setup that will automatically regenerate the wilderness and abandoned claims. If the setup doesn't work or causes any lag then I'll do manual land claims and chunk resetting the same way I've always done (not as easy but saves builds just fine).

Once I've tested and figured out all the ins and outs, I'll open up FAQ's for how to claim your areas. Note that there will be an up front in game cost determined by size as well as regular taxes to maintain active claims, pricing to be determined soon.

In the meantime, know that your builds are safe unless you leave Discord.

We will still have seasons but will have different goals/plans for those instead of a map reset.

Please take a moment to adjust your per server profile with your in game gamertag.

Please include the . in your bedrock gamertag. If you use both bedrock and Java and they're different, list your main first then alt. For example:

If my Bedrock GT is my main and it's Wisterwild and my Java is my alt and it's Stephanie87, then I'll adjust my per server profile nickname to .Wisterwild/Stephanie87

We will adjust those of you who we know but since there's over 300 of you I could most certainly use your help.

I've attached pictures of how to edit.

1. While in the Wisterwild discord, click your profile picture at the bottom of the screen
2. Click edit profile
3. Click per server profile
4. Adjust your nickname then click save

This is a mandatory update - all new members will have theirs updated during whitelisting and I'll be working through the member list over the next few days.

Little reminder about land claims and bases - make sure you've placed a sign that's clearly visible marking your base so players don't inadvertently loot thinking it's a generated structure 🏘️ There's not much we can do if you haven't marked it and it gets looted... If your base is like mine and very spread out, put signs at all of your builds (see pics). Otherwise put a wall up around your base and clearly label your space. Look at your area through the eyes of a wandering traveler who may stumble on any section of your area.

:calendar_spiral: Wisterwild SMP Cross Play Launch

There's a few things to note ahead of the launch:
- The server will be run in a Java environment, so Bedrock players will be playing in a Java world. This means all Java mechanics will apply. Check out this Youtube Video on some key differences between Bedrock and Java gameplay.
- Our custom textures will not work in the new environment. I'm working on building ones that will work but it may be a bit after launch.
- Since our custom textures will not work, our physical Monies will not work. If you have any money in your inventory or storage, make sure to deposit them before the launch or they'll be lost forever!
- That being said, I will need to manually enter your in game balance in order for it to transfer over. Please fill out this form as close to the launch date as you can so I can update your balance. You must log in at least 1 time for me to apply your balance. I'll be posting everyone's balances 1 week from the launch date. If you have not submitted the form and if you have not logged in at least once, your balance will be lost.
- All builds will be safe and transfer over so feel free to keep on building right up until the server is pulled offline.
- Players are welcome to join on either Bedrock, Java or both!
- Downtime is anticipated to be approximately 2-3 hours at most.

TLDR;
- Cross Play Launch is: Wednesday, August 06, 2025 04:00 PM
- Submit your in game Money balance using this form and deposit all physical monies by Wednesday, August 06, 2025 04:00 PM

The long-awaited Wisterwild Market is officially open 🥂🍾

The market provides everyone a chance to earn (and spend!) in-game currency in exchange for in-game items. Attached you can find a map of the market as well as an instructional video on how to sell something.

We have a few guidelines in place to keep the market lag free as well as profitable and enjoyable for everyone:
- Each player is allowed to have 5 chest shops and may claim 1 market stall.
- To get started, you need to purchase a Shop License from the NPC at the market. Current license fee is $3000. All fees are non-refundable.

📜 Display your Shop License at your stall as proof of your permission to sell.
- This system keeps the market fair and balanced, making sure no one player can take over too much space or dominate the market.
- Just like real-world stores can lose their license if they don’t meet standards, we reserve the right to revoke shop licenses if stalls are inactive, out of stock for too long, or breaking market rules.
- Please check other shops and what they are selling when you open up a shop. Undercutting is not allowed. Try to sell different items to keep the market varied and fun.
- If you leave Discord, your shop (and all items in your shop chests) will be cleared.
- If your shop remains out of stock for more than 2 weeks, your Shop License may be revoked and your stall cleared.

🪧 To create a market chest:
- Place a container (chest, double chest, or barrel).
- Place a sign on the container (any sign except hanging signs).
- Type CREATESHOP.
- With the item you want to sell in your main hand, interact with the sign and set your price per item.
- To edit or delete the chest shop, break the sign and a form will pop up.

🛒 To claim a market stall:
- Purchase your Shop License from the NPC at spawn (coordinates in the picture attached)
- Put your name on an unclaimed stall sign to reserve your plot and post your shop license somewhere visible.
- You may build whatever you want inside your stall boundaries, but your shop must stay lag-friendly.
