Discord AI Moderation False Flags Warning
Краткое содержание
Gayming Gaymers warns members that Discords AI moderation is falsely flagging images with checkerboard grids, tile patterns, spreadsheets, and game UIs as CSAM. The announcement explains the risk of suspension or permanent ban and possible legal attention in some jurisdictions, urges caution when posting such images, and requests no further discussion in server channels to avoid moderation.
There is currently an issue with Discord's Ai-run moderation system that is suspending users for false accusations of posting CSAM (||Child Sexual Abuse Material||) when they post images containing visual checkerboard patterns. While the issue continues to persist, i want everyone to be aware of the risk of permanent ban (and, under some jurisdictions, the potential for being visited by local authorities) that being false flagged by this could bring to you. While i wouldn't normally post any announcement over the typical Discord fearmongering that makes the rounds, this is an issue i have verified. There is a legitimate, though abhorrent, reason for this to have started happening. Given that this is an issue of a mistrained Ai, i don't personally know how long it will continue to be an issue that affects users on the platform.
For further context, images containing grid patterns like a chess/checkerboard, missing texture files, pictures of spreadsheets, tile patterns, even pictures of the Minecraft inventory or Deltarune battle Ui could trip the sensor.
Do not extensively discuss this in any of the channels of this server. While it's important to stay informed, that duty's already been done here, and you will still be muted for bringing up any sort of NSFW subject in this server.
