US Safety Alert for Lunas Lounge Members
Краткое содержание
In Lunas Lounge this announcement warns US-based members that the Department of Homeland Security has requested platforms search for critics of ICE and provide emails phone numbers IPs and real names. The message reminds members the server avoids politics and urges caution when discussing ICE or immigration topics for personal safety. Leadership issued this general safety notice.
I apologise for the announcement, but to anyone on the server living in The United States Of America this announcement is for you!
Recently the department of homeland security has demanded companies such as meta (Facebook, threads, Instagram, WhatsApp), Reddit, and Discord search for anyone speaking against ICE or just criticising them and once they find these people, the companies are to give the department of homeland security emails, phone numbers, IP addresses and even real names of those who speak against ICE.
Now we try to avoid politics within this server and that is why I am taking full responsibility for this announcement. This isn't related to the server it is for your general safety!
The department of homeland security and ICE have not yet stated what they will do with this information if the companies comply. But in the interest of your own safety we should be more careful with how we talk about these situations
