Format: Pokemon Champions VGC
Would like to include: Mega Metagross
Since this is for a Steel-type Gym, the Ace will serve as my "one allowed non-Steel type." You have 100% creative freedom for the rest of the team! I’d just love a quick explanation of the synergy and how to play it.

Here's the best thing I could do.
You have speed control with Corviknight, also allowing you to deal with Garchomp and EQ abusers. The EVS are to make sure you get 75% chance of surviving a +1 electroshot from bulky archaludon, and guarantee 3HKO from Sneasler Close Combat.
Metagross is classic, with psychic fangs to get rid of walls and stomping tantrum to cover weaknesses.
Gholdengo scarf as a revenge killer with Power Gem to deal with Charizard Y
32+ SpA Gholdengo Power Gem vs. 2 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard Y: 180-216 (116.1 - 139.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
and Tbolt for Rain and Staraptor

Orthworm is your pivot, allowing you to spam earthquake with Excadrill + Sandstorm setter, and can Shed Tail pass to other. Max SpD to make him tank as much as possible.
Excadrill can be used to finish the game as a late game sweeper
And finally the non steel type is Ceruledge Flash Fire, it will help you against Sun Teams mainly.
The only concern I have is against Swampert Mega, I'll try to find something better later bc right now i gotta go 😄

This is my version, metagross mega as main wallbreaker with lucario holding a scarf and having coaching to boost it once or twice or final gambit the biggest threat to your monotype team, rock tomb might provide speed control in some situations, can replace with like heal pulse for Archaludon ig or an attacking move whatever fits your playstyle, you won't click it often anyway. Pelipper seems like good support with wide guard to protect vs the ground types and weather ball to deal with them, as well as weakening every fire type and having weather control. Klefki is nice in full rain match ups, pretty much a sableye than can actually deal spread with dazzling gleam in specific situations. Aegi is there for revenge killing Pokémon that are low as well as punishing staraptor mega together with pelipper, nice lead into starphox.

Im not saying one of them is bad. But 2 different fighting styles

3. Why do i need peliper and klefki with rain dance,
4. I don't have good counter against grass teams, Snizler? Ith?

Klefki is bulky enough and usually gets ignored
Grass just gets resisted by steel
And all your Mons don't have trouble breaking
Klefki gets rain in front of yard
So should I start with klefki or peliper?

Thanks ! For sun team I'd start with Ceruledge + scarf gholdengo (if they don't have whim), and then in the back metagross + corv
Trick room (farigiraf + fake out) you start with Ceruledge for instant pressure and ghost type and potentially gholdengo, a bitter blade + make it rain should Ohko farigiraf, I didn't calc yet and I'm outside rn :/
Heavy Offence (starphox, floette...) Ceruledge takes care of all of them and can set up, you bring him + metagross + corv and ghold I'd say
And rain is really tricky because you don't have anything to tank a Swampert, imma have to figure out this
And don't worry about the shiny I don't need any haha, I just do this for the love of the game, I like to build 😁

( It's not like I thought there was such an option in Pokemon Champions 💀 )
ok so this is my opinion about the team:
Cons:
- This team is neither too fast nor too slow, so in trick room im getting destroyed or fast pokemon will kill me.
- Corviknight is never used because of orthworm and his Ability to resist eart moves
- Orthworm doesn't need protect, because: people won't target him, he has citrus berry, shed tail, etc... so mabey helping hand? Or smth?
- Ceruledge colbur berry is rarely used
- I didn't see mega swampert so idk BUT Snizler is killing me 
- idk if it my skill ( or lack of it ) but if Orthworm is slow he won't set up sandstorm in time so excarldrill can move faster, he would be dead or on 1 HP
- Venusaur will earth power Ceruledge before sword dance
- would need more priority moves ( idk )
Pros:
- Almost everyone has a great move set
- the synergy is very good
- Orthworm can use shed tail and eat citrus berry ( so no draw back )
- I hate choice scarf BUT goldengo is killing everything with it so 🙂
- Metagross has the answer to almost everything
- I FRICK LOVE ORTHWORM
I usually start with Orthworm + Goldengo/ Excarldrill ( ofc if it's not some crazy team ). Orthworm does its job when the opponent focuses on the expensive Pokemon (usually Earthquake, which helps Orthworm ). Metagross + Ceruledge in the back. Out of 10 games played, I won 6, so I guess it's going well for the first time 😉
( I rl wanted to find more more pros than cons so as not to discourage you srr + I'm sure I made so many mistakes in this message)
opinion on your team:
Cons:
- These 3 supports still annoy me. Because Aegislash is not that good in most of the matchups so i have to chose do i need 3 sup and 1 atack or 2 sup and 2 atack week to ground.
- Everything has fighting move so we need to change this
- When I leave, I have to decide whether I'm going with Klefki + something or Peliper + something.
- Peliper needs less time to set up everything which gives him the ability to attack faster, tho klefki is a better support. But he won't be ignored for 3 turns
- I have no answer for earth moves
- Because Lucario has a choice scarf, he must choose: Help, heal, kamikaze or hit hard
- Aegislash is not used 80% of the time ( mabey my skill isue )
- Mabey use kingambit?
Pros:
- If timed right klefki and Peliper are very good together
- Klefki is very good support
- ( I don't believe in will say it ) Archaludon's berry ( Chople Berry ) saved my ass to many times ( good thing
- If lucario locks in he is very good
I usually go at the start with Peliper + Archaludon, Klefki + Peliper or Metagross + Lucario. The rest of the team will depend on the first 2 mons. People often ignore klefki which is good for the set up. For 10 I won 6 games that I played, so it's just as good
( I also tried to focus on the positives rather than the negatives. I'll give you a ditto on Monday, btw. )

Well aegislash is needed for fighting moves. I mean steel fighting seems like an amazing type combo to me that's why I had it be everywhere, otherwise incin and gambit might be problematic. Klefki is fine to die after getting screens so you can revenge sweep. Ground type answer is pretty much pelipper and finals gambit, peliper having wide guard beats the only real ground move. Lucario should just trade imo.

The problem is that almost every Pokemon has a fighting type move. I will look, cook, lern and brb with my idea 🤗

Scizor + Bullet punch for priority ? You already have shadow sneak on ceruledge and bp on metagross, it should be enough
No, like its a good team. The only thing I would mention is Corviknight. The rest, surprisingly, fits well. ( Orthworm + Excarldrill is very good tho Excarldrill gets target (i mean enemy split his atack so Orthworm thanks to his difference is very good + Excarldrill can die if he used Earthquake. Next round i go Ceruledge in Orthworm sub and Metagross. Sandstorm is situational but still manages )
Corviknight never is first ( because Orthworm + Goldengo/Excarldrill are first so no pint in ground teams ).
We could use mega skamory because it has a similar role to Corviknight + I can use mega if there is team earth ( because I won't take Metagross on Earth Team )
With Ceruledge is good and i won't swap the item
Tinkaton can be used for fairy type + fake out + giganton Hammer

to fix the speed issue, you can go with 0 HP, 31 Atk, 13 Def, and 22 Speed, so you outspeed these above, but now you have a 6% chance to get ohko by swampert, and 56% chance to kill
