Summary
The Pokémon Champions | VGC Battles & Tournaments server is diving deep into competitive team building, specifically focusing on a unique Mega Blastoise and Hisuian Typhlosion core. This discussion explores the viability of dual-weather strategies, optimal support options like Sinistcha, and meta-game adjustments for current VGC regulations. It is a valuable resource for players looking to refine their competitive rosters and improve their synergy in high-level battles.
I have an Idea for a set based around Mega Blastoise under tailwind with a secondary sun mode with Hisuian Typhlosion I'ma post the thread here since I need help with picking two last mons to help support this idea(Maybe even abandon and lean fully on one)

This is team

And this is a game to show it in action
Hm
Its not for synergy reasons but I paired my Mega Blastoise Husui Typhlosion with a sand core and it works quite well.
But that isn't what you are looking for.
You can consolidate areo and sableye with Peliper
How often do you want to set rain for Blastoise?
Maybe someone else to abuse the rain setup could be useful
That's what I usually do! Mega Toise has naturally good offense already
I kinda think that Sinistcha's a better support than Sableye too
Im using sini on mine
I would swap areo for Peliper.
Adding sini means 2 fire weaknesses but under rain it shouldn't be a massive threat.
Tsarina is a fun mon id want to keep expecially if you want queenly majesty.
Discord sent us an expired image link.
That's the sand core I had
Ps i dont like the incin on this team but wanted it for support ages ago. Ive since changed it around
Pelipper from my experience in other teams felt lik a bum sometimes
Lwk tho
Why Lum berry
There was alot of issues with Venusaur sleep powder early on so lum was handy to counter the current meta threats. It was a very early meta team xD
Nowadays I would change lum berry

I wish I could bring Torkoal Typhlosion into more games
Typhlosion is suprisingly a great Basculegion check even if it's weak to its moves because it always outspeeds evenn if Scarved and Tsareena as a partner just make it impossible for Basc to Aqua Jet
(And iirc Typh survives)
I always brought my torcoal in as a back line trick room revenge killer. Ive never had much luck with him doing anything else due to his speed
Id test some games with that and see what counters you experience
Helping Hand adds good support into Typhlosion guaranteeing a ton of KOs but also
You can fall back into Tortor for
A good ol' heat wave too in a trick room late game early game scenario where you don't want Typhlosion on the field til trick room goes down
The team is very strong on champions ladder
But I do feel kinda sad that battles end just with Aerodactyl and Tsareena lol
I barely bring the sun mode unless I'm against rain and even then Blastoise is also a good answer, it can take advantage of opposing weather very well
I was able to bring Typhlosion Torkoal in a game and I can say it's a strong mode even when Torkoals just coming in to power eruption
It’s good for sweeping
Do you have helping hands on your tork ?
It's in the paste, yeah
Just replying to this my bad lol
It works I can see the two modes very easily tho
Not really predictable because I gotta know what mode you’re going with
Can see tsar being like security against sucker punches for the typlosion
They can sometimes run yawn on this kind of tork
Also couldn’t farig be better then tsar on this team ? She could even be offensive farig
It’s a easy high win rate team
If you wanted to be tricky try fit shed skin onto it
I’ll tag you in a Blastoise team that Made champion
