Draft League Guide for Pokémon Champions
Hey I don’t know if I should attach a ping to this, but I’m thinking of hosting a draft or at least participating in one. I would appreciate an in depth rundown of how draft works and how one would go about hosting a draft event? As always, yall are real ones.

So first you need to assign pokemon to tiers
And then assign them points
And then you have to get 8-12 players
And draft a pool of 12 mons. Snake format first to last then last goes twice in a row and back to first then first goes twice in a row
Every Mon can only be picked up once
So if I spent turn one to take sneasler, it's mine alone
People usually get like 100 points or something to draft 12 mons with
A and S tier mons are worth over ten to force people to use underappreciated mons
Then one day a week you have a match against another draft team w/l you gain champ points or lose em depending
The bottom half of the points system get dropped
Top half go onto a tournament style bracket winner and loser to determine the winner
Abt six weeks into the season people are allowed a free agency. Either you can offer a trade to another player, accept a trade from another player, or drop two mons max from your roster of 12 to pick from C tier or below two mons to add.
When it comes to the team building
You are allowed to prep one team a week from your six mons
You are not locked into the first team comp you make with them
Every week you can prepare for your opponent
how many of you would be interested in a draft league either playing or hosting in server?
I would like to play. But I have time till the end of this month. After that it becomes iffy. Maybe when iOS comes out I can play on the train

it would be a 12 week season. only have to play a single battle a week
until tour time then we could always sort out details

If we can drum up enough people for one league I'll make a channel kind of like the trade, forum, and whatnot so that if more than one league wants to start, they can all have their own threads.

What is a draft league?
A draft league is where coaches take turns selecting 1 Pokemon from the pool at a time until they have met the Pokemon number requirement set by the host
Then coaches will battle each other with their teams over the course of xyz weeks determined by the host
Top cut go to playoffs
Winner takes all

How do we handle the point system/tierlist, do we get access ahead of the draft?
Yes
We already have it made
I believe we won't be doing a straight just pick thing
You'll have time to think your picks over
Drafting itself will take a while
We will randomize the order once we confirm who all is participating and then the draft will be a snake format (if you have round one pick 1 your next pick is at the end of round 2)
We will also soon be posting the document so people can read over the rules and start any team prep work they might want to

All g draft leagues are my bread and butter I’ve only been playing them for a year and a half now but I wanna say I’ve been in 12 and modded atleast 8 by now
