Mega Kangaskhan Trick Room Team Guide | Pokémon VGC

Summary

In the Pokémon Champions | VGC Battles & Tournaments server, members collaborated to refine a Mega Kangaskhan Trick Room team. The discussion covers essential adjustments, such as transitioning Dragonite to a physical attacker and incorporating Volcarona with a specific Sitrus Berry set to counter meta threats. This guide provides valuable insights for players looking to improve their competitive team building and synergy in VGC battles.

Im currently trying to build a mega kangeskhan team as hes one of my favourite mons also because hes fairly slow compared to most meta mons (I think) but im kinda new to team building so i would appreciate some help

Teams alright you're just kind of playing middling speed on a couple that you may think about swapping

solarmeadow-81 OP

Yh i feel like i need slower mons for trick room bc im not always attacking first against certain teams

cleverinbox-49

Not necessarily

cleverinbox-49

Volcorona is rly good into a lot of the trick room pokemon, allowing you to act as if you have the speed advantage and ignore the one pokemon who is too slow for you to outspeed

cleverinbox-49

Like kingambit on most teams

solarmeadow-81 OP

Should i replace something with volco then

cleverinbox-49

Well you can

cleverinbox-49

Either sinistcha or incin would be easily replacable

cleverinbox-49

I would never ever ever recommend a person to replace a dragonite

cleverinbox-49

He is the best boy

cleverinbox-49

Wait a sec

cleverinbox-49

You are using special dragonite without the mega?

cleverinbox-49

????

solarmeadow-81 OP

Is that bad

cleverinbox-49

Usually if you aren't using mega dragonite you would use a physical dragonite

cleverinbox-49

Since it hits harder

cleverinbox-49

And more consistantly

solarmeadow-81 OP

Oh lol ill switch it to a phys attacker

solarmeadow-81 OP

Ill prolly replace sinistcha for volca aswell

merrykitten-85

Volc is really cool just be careful of the rockslides

merrykitten-85

She’s x4 weak to them

cleverinbox-49

Rock is rly dangerous to volc, but volc can survive coverage rock attacks like garchomp rock slides if trained properly

cleverinbox-49

And if you are having issues with it the charti berry makes it more barable, although sitrus is usually better

solarmeadow-81 OP

What moves and stats should i run i never really used volc beforr

cleverinbox-49

I have a set prepared

solarmeadow-81 OP

Do you mind if can use or nah

cleverinbox-49

Volcarona @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Flame Body
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 32 HP / 23 Def / 11 SpA
Modest Nature

solarmeadow-81 OP

Oh thx
