Gold is the perfect RWA to tokenize, but hardly anyone is making it composable - the main benefit of tokenization - except STRATO.

In June, China's gold exchange paused paper gold trading.

Paper can get paused, but gold can't because paper gold is just a promise layered over metal you'll never see.

But what about tokenized gold? On a permissionless network like STRATO, it can't be shut off, transactions settle on the network, you have direct ownership, you can redeem $GOLDST for physical gold, and you can borrow against it.

Paper gold doesn't do that.

Tokenization is already happening, according to ＠ethereumJoseph, even if many people don't recognize it.

Tokenized assets settle in minutes, any hour, any day. Markets that close on Friday afternoon become markets that never close, and assets stuck in separate silos — your stocks here, your bonds there, your gold in a vault somewhere — become one consolidated market where everything trades side by side.

Tokenization is inevitable. And accelerating.

Gold closed its worst quarter since 2013, down 16%.

China's central bank answered by adding 15 tonnes in June, its largest monthly purchase since 2023 and its 20th straight month of buying. Reserves now stand at 2,346 tonnes, a record.

For central banks, falling gold prices are an opportunity. They can be for you too:
