STRATO Play is coming! 🎮

Big news for the STRATO community:

Tomorrow, we’re introducing STRATO Play, the newest addition to our growing ecosystem, bringing head-to-head gaming onchain.

Starting with Rock Paper Scissors, Connect Four and Street Fight, players will be able to challenge each other, compete and earn rewards. And this is only the beginning of what we’re building with Play.

To kick things off, we’re also launching our first STRATO Play testnet competition, with rewards for the top 10 players and 250 USDST for first place!

For the testnet, you’ll be playing with test USDST. To get started, you’ll be able to share your wallet address here in Telegram or in our Discord to receive test funds. We’ll explain and demonstrate the whole process during tomorrow’s Community AMA.

And there’s more happening across STRATO!

Our current STRATO Odds Early Birds Advantage competition closes tomorrow, followed by another round with the same format and rewards. Trading continues as usual, and we’re also reviewing the results of the previous competition before confirming winners and distributing prizes.

Alongside all these announcements, the team will share a recap from Korea Blockchain Week and TOKEN2049 Singapore, including some of the conversations, connections and opportunities from both events.

NEW: Asian technology stocks are facing heavy selling pressure as concerns over AI valuations and growing competition from Chinese chipmakers spread across global markets.

South Korea’s KOSPI plunged more than 6% on Tuesday, with Samsung Electronics falling around 8% and SK Hynix nearly 10%.

The selloff follows reports of advances by China’s ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), raising concerns about increasing competition in the semiconductor industry.

US technology stocks are also under pressure. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 2.7% on Monday, while Nasdaq futures declined ahead of today’s session.

Oil: Brent crude fell 1.3% to around $103.38 per barrel following signals of a potential halt to attacks on energy infrastructure in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Gold: Trading near $4,185 per ounce as investors await Wednesday’s US inflation report, which could influence the Federal Reserve’s next interest rate decisions.

Equities: Global stock markets opened cautiously ahead of a new earnings season, with major US banks and technology companies expected to provide further insight into economic conditions.

US Dollar: The dollar remains near an 18-month high, adding pressure to dollar-denominated assets, including precious metals.

Crypto: Bitcoin, Ethereum and other digital assets face another macro-driven week, with Wednesday’s CPI report potentially influencing market volatility.

Market Update | October 10, 2026

Global markets closed a volatile week as rising energy prices, elevated bond yields and geopolitical uncertainty continued to influence investor sentiment.

Bitcoin traded near $82,700 on Saturday, down almost 3% for the week after approaching $87,000 last Sunday. Higher oil prices and expectations of tighter US monetary policy weighed on crypto markets.

Dogecoin saw developments beyond price action. DogeOS launched its public testnet in late September and introduced The Grand Heist on October 9, a new initiative designed to bring users into its growing ecosystem of applications.

Gold gained approximately 1.5% on Friday, benefiting from a softer US dollar, while Brent crude remained near $104 per barrel amid ongoing supply concerns and geopolitical tensions.

US equities finished Friday higher despite these pressures. The S&P 500 advanced 0.6% to 7,811.54, with investors now turning their attention to upcoming inflation data and major bank earnings.

JUST IN: Gold slips as markets wait for the Fed’s September minutes.

A stronger dollar and elevated Treasury yields are putting pressure on gold today, while traders look to the Fed minutes for more clarity on the path for interest rates.

At the same time, structural demand remains strong. China’s central bank extended its gold-buying streak to 23 consecutive months, while LBMA delegates see gold reaching around $5,013 within the next year.
