THE MASTER EMERALD’S DEMISE

Enerjak arrived at Shrine Isle, where the ancient Master Emerald rested under the eye of Knuckles the Echidna. Without hesitation, the two exchanged heated words, Knuckles standing firm to protect the sacred relic. Their brief clash was swift—Knuckles fought with all his strength, but Enerjak’s overwhelming power made it clear he was no ordinary foe. After all… it’s been centuries since Enerjak came back.

With a subtle flick of his hand, Enerjak instantly ended the struggle, shattering the Master Emerald into shards that exploded outward like green glass. The fragments scattered across Angel Island and sank into the deep ocean below, their glow lost to the dark depths.

The shards can be found and collected throughout Angel Island and underwater!

As Knuckles stared in disbelief at the destruction, Enerjak offered a final taunt before departing with grace. The island, no longer held aloft by the emerald’s power, began a slow descent toward the ocean. In hours, it would hit the water, threatening to trigger a tsunami that could devastate nearby coastlines. Knuckles could only watch as the island’s fate was sealed— he had only one mission: to gather the shards before the island hits the water.

TSUNAMI

As Angel Island plunged into the ocean, the colossal impact sent shockwaves rippling through the water. The sea roared as massive waves surged outward in all directions, building into a devastating tsunami. Towering walls of water crashed against the coastlines of nearby regions, striking with relentless force.

The Republic of Acorn’s shores were flooded within minutes, with cities near the coast submerged under torrents of seawater. Streets vanished beneath churning waves, and structures crumbled under the weight of the flood. Further away, the West Side Island faced the same fate as the tsunami barreled through, sweeping away harbors and towns, leaving devastation in its wake.

Entire landscapes were reshaped by the surge, and survivors scrambled to higher ground as the ocean consumed everything in its path. The destruction marked not just the end of Angel Island’s reign above the skies but the beginning of widespread chaos on the surface below.
