POWER
Powers/Abilities:
- Ashura exists between dimensions rather than belonging to one. This allows him to naturally slip between realities and perceive dimensional instability. But the thing is, he doesn’t know how and it’s somewhat random.
- Can generate portals, teleport, phase through solid objects, manipulate dimensional energy, briefly create pocket spaces, and travel between alternate dimensions. Again, he doesn’t know how and usually does not do this.
- Can intentionally phase through walls and terrain, though failed attempts may leave him embedded inside solid objects.
- Super speed but going too fast like Sonic would cause him to glitch out.
- Kind of has spider sense due to the glitch
Strengths:
- Can’t really get hurt or die due to his glitchy body but this also means he can’t exactly fight without his glitchy weaknesses

- can clip through things but usually this doesn’t work
- Good at acrobatics and can jump pretty high

Weaknesses:
- His body behaves like corrupted game data. Under heavy stress, his appearance, voice, or movements may briefly distort.

- Typically has glitch attacks that causes immense pain
- Portals also strains him, can’t typically teleport sometimes as if his body isn’t actually there for that to work

- While he cannot swim naturally, water can also cause him to glitch badly. He sinks, cannot float whatsoever and sometimes would go below the ground.

- Depression due to knowing his friends (Tails, Knuckles, etc) like how Sonic does but they don’t know him and he’s starting to slowly forget. He doesn’t know Rouge or anyone else except Tails and Knuckles because he’s only from that classic era.
- Slightly mute due to being a classic Sonic but upgrading to modern allowed him to speak, he just usually doesn’t due to being used to it.

CHARACTER
Personality:

Ashura is a quiet, serious, and often miserable individual who prefers solitude over companionship. Although he comes across as rude, cranky, and impatient, much of his behavior stems from loneliness and years of emotional instability rather than genuine malice. His fragmented existence has left him constantly questioning where he belongs, making him naturally withdrawn and distrustful of others.

Despite his gloomy outlook, Ashura still possesses a strong moral compass buried beneath his bitterness. He occasionally risks himself to protect strangers or help those in danger, even if he insists he doesn’t care afterward. Unlike Sonic, heroism does not come naturally to him. Every good deed feels like a conscious choice rather than instinct.

His unstable nature makes him surprisingly naive at times, especially toward people who show him kindness. While he tries to hide his emotions behind sarcasm or irritation, he secretly longs to be accepted for who he is instead of being dismissed as nothing more than a “glitch” or a failed copy. He enjoys jokes every now and then, though he rarely laughs for long before retreating back into his usual melancholy.

BACKGROUND
Faction/group: Possibly gun if not independent

Backstory: Ashura originated from the famous Emerald Hill palette glitch in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. What should have been nothing more than corrupted sprite data somehow developed consciousness, becoming an anomalous being identified as ITTRLo S-001 (“Identified Trans-Temporal Reboot Left-over”). Existing outside normal reality, Ashura drifts between timelines and dimensions, never truly belonging to any world.

Because he originated from corrupted game data, Ashura constantly struggles with instability. Every use of his dimensional abilities risks forcing him into painful glitches or trapping him within an Anti-Void where reality itself breaks apart around him.

Many mistake him for a simple recolor of Sonic, something Ashura deeply resents. Although he and Sonic have crossed paths numerous times, their relationship is complicated. Ashura once considered Sonic almost like a brother, another version of himself, but years of mockery and constant comparisons caused resentment to grow between them. They now exist somewhere between rivals, reluctant allies, and estranged family.

Likewise, Ashura despises Scourge, whose appearance reminds everyone of the infamous glitch that created Ashura in the first place. During one confrontation, Ashura attempted to defeat Scourge but lost due to his own unstable abilities, further damaging his already fragile pride.

Rather than searching for power or fame, Ashura spends much of his life searching for something even simpler: a place where he can finally exist without feeling like a mistake.

- His body when glitching would sometimes look like normal Sonic or Classic Sonic
- His existence has become something of an urban legend among dimensional travelers, with many believing he’s an omen of corrupted realities or collapsing timelines.
- He has an irrational hatred of being called “just a bug” like from Zonic for example- he usually gets called “an anomaly” from Sonic
