I've recieved this question in DMs - & I thought it interesting enough to post.

(This study uses this study as a starting point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwCdZ4CbA-E)

The Garden of Eden is in South-Eastern Iraq - from Bagdad to Al Qurnah.

with Havilah being modern-day Saudi Arabia.

This is because the physical location of the Euphrates river, Gihon river, and the Hiddekiel river is still present there to this very day.

The Pishon river dried up in the land of Havilah during ~2000 BC - because of continual transgressions against God, so He took away their prosperity.

This is what the Pishon river would be if God did not take the prosperity away from the land.

As a little bonus study - I'll be going into each river's name and determine from Scripture on what they mean.

Pison / Pishon (H6376) = increased by dispersing

The riches of Jesus Christ are increased only if the talents and the gifts are used in Charity-work.
John 3:30  "He must increase, but I must decrease."

So is the existence of the Pison river - where it only existed because of the plentiful rainfall and mist that pervaded throughout Havilah. However, the river dried up because God withdrew the rain due to the perverse wickedness of Havilah.

We can determine this from the root-Hebrew word of Pison - "Poosh" (H6335) which means: to spread; figuratively act proudly.

Jeremiah 50:11,13  "Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls."

dustyisland-60 OP

Gihon (H1521) = a stream bursting forth from paradise

dustyisland-60 OP

Hiddekel / Chiddekel / Tigris (H2313) = great rapid

dustyisland-60 OP

Euphrates (H6578) = spiritual fruitfulness
