💬 Bleed Message Utilities

Bleed includes several useful message tools for formatting quotations, working with emotes from existing messages, and analyzing the tone of written text.

These commands can be used throughout the server wherever Bleed commands are permitted.

💬 Quote Text

,quote [text]

Formats the supplied text and posts it as a quote.

This is useful when you want to clearly present a quotation, excerpt, memorable line, or piece of text without manually formatting it yourself.

Example:
,quote History becomes memory, memory becomes story.

Bleed will format the supplied text into its quote presentation.

🎭 Steal an Emote

,steal [message link]

Retrieves or inspects the most recent emote used within the message you reference.

To use it, copy the Discord message link containing the emote and place it after the command.

Example:
,steal https://discord.com/channels/...

This can be useful when you encounter an emote in a message and want Bleed to identify or retrieve information about it.

🔗 Tip: On Discord, you can usually obtain a message link by right-clicking or holding the message and selecting Copy Message Link.

🧭 Analyze Message Tone

,tone [text]

Analyzes the supplied text for tone and potentially toxic or hostile language using a Perspective-style text analysis system.

Example:
,tone I cannot believe you did that.

Bleed may return information indicating how the message is interpreted by the analysis system.

This can be useful when checking whether something you have written could come across as unnecessarily aggressive, insulting, hostile, or otherwise negative before sending it.

⚠️ Remember: Automated tone analysis is only an interpretation. Context, humor, sarcasm, relationships between members, and cultural differences can affect how a message is understood. A score from Bleed should not be treated as a moderation verdict by itself.
