Luis's Intro

Yooo im lulu or luis, whichever's good. Been a Transhumanist for a long time, mainly through the notion that Death can be overcome via advances in tech, medicine, etc. This all started for me when I was younger and used to have Jehovah's Witnesses [JW] come over and give 'Bible studies'. One day we went over the notion of death, resurrection, and their specific view of 'Armageddon' and the oldest one there stated, 'we won't have to face death' due to some odd belief of how Armageddon would play out in the JW view.

Now, since I've walked away from spirituality a hot min ago, the belief changed from 'god can give us immortality' to 'humanity can achieve immortality'. Call it the 'secularization' of the idea of immortality I suppose. For whatever that's worth, this led me into the Transhumanist Party after some research and a preexisting interest in politics. Seeing there was an actual political org or group working towards similar goals compelled me to get involved.

A few years down the line; I now hold the Chair position for the NY Transhumanist Party as well as the position of Director of Media Production for the US Transhumanist Party. In addition, made a group called 'Left Transhumanism' to serve as a group for the 'Pro-Tech Left'.*
