I am in no way attempting to claim the modern state of Lebanon nor am I desiring it's annexation. My desire is to prove that, for at least two and a half continuous millennia, Mount Lebanon and it's coast were an inseperable part of Syria. Let me know your thoughts (in a civil manner).
Proof:
1. Pg140 of the Voyage to the Orient (1845 AD): "We were before Beirut, one of the most populous towns on the coast of Syria, formerly Berytus, which became a Roman colony under Augustus"
2. Strabo, Geography 16.2.18 (20 AD, p. 317): "“Phoenicia is a narrow coast of Syria, and lies along the sea from Nahr el-Bared to Port Said"
3. Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews 15.5.1 (93 AD): “Now Antiochus made war against Sidon and Tyre, which are cities of Syria…”
4. Al-Muqaddasi, Ahsan al-Taqasim (985 AD, p. 150): “Of the districts of Syria: Damascus, Jordan, Palestine, Homs… Beirut, Tripoli, Sidon, Tyre, and Acre are cities of the Syrian coast.”
5. Yaqut al-Hamawi, Muʿjam al-Buldan (1240 ad, vol. 4, p. 362): “Lebanon: a mountain of Syria, near Homs and Damascus.”
6. Catholic Encylopedia 1913 (written by Chaldean priest-historian Gabriel Oussani): "Syria, a country in Western Asia, which in modern times comprises all that region bounded on the north by the highlands of the Taurus, on the south by Egypt, on the east by Mesopotamia and the Arabia Desert, and on the west by the Mediterranean; thus including with its area the ancient ... Phœnicia, [and] the land of Canaan or Palestine"
7. Encylopaedia Britannica 1911: Syria, used of a north Euphratean district, and a word distinct from Assyria. Generally the ethnic term, Syrians, came to mean in antiquity the Semitic peoples domiciled outside the Mesopotamian and Arabian areas: which we include under it, retaining their distinctive status, ... Phoenicia, [and] Palestine. Taking Syria as the strip limited by the sea, the edge of the Harrat, the Taurus and the Sinaitic desert, we have a remarkably homogeneous geographical area with very obvious natural boundaries.

Nepals people stood up and rose against the corrupt leaders of there nation.
Morocco is NOW currently doing the same.
When will Lebanons people stand up and take to the streets to fight for our country. France imposed a system for our government that I find splits the people of Lebanon by this role is a Muslim, this role a Christian, this role a Shia. We the people should vote for who WE want in power. It will always be corrupt unless WE make a change.

Minister of Agriculture Nizar Hani, received in his office at the ministry President of the Irshad Association for Municipal and Voluntary Training and Development Bassam Tlaiss, in the presence of Dr. Dany Fadel, President of the Cannabis Regulatory Authority.
The meeting, which comes within the framework of preparations for the launch of the national plan to legalize and regulate cannabis cultivation in Lebanon, provided an opportunity to affirm the leading role of the Ministry of Agriculture in leading this vital national effort and the importance of close cooperation between various partners to ensure its success.
It was agreed to organize an expanded meeting in late October, bringing together municipalities, official bodies, civil and agricultural actors, and various relevant partners. The meeting aims to raise public awareness of the project and consolidate the national partnership, in preparation for the launch of the plan and transforming this sector into a sustainable economic and development lever.
Hani affirmed that "the Ministry of Agriculture will establish the legislative and regulatory frameworks necessary for the project's success," emphasizing that "the process requires comprehensive cooperation between the state and society to achieve the desired goals at the economic and development levels."

First of all good mornining
You know, that accusing others of treason for disagreeing with you stuff by people stuck in a tiny mental box, yet think they're open minded geniuses is getting boring. Just because I refuse to hate anyone does not mean I'm a traitor, it's just the way I choose to live my life, so please be a little more open minded instead of telling me how to think every day, thought police.
Yes, I'm against Hezb
Unlike Israel, Hezb are Lebanese so they owe it to us to not be putting our lives in danger for foreign interests. Israel does what's in Israel's best interests, while Hezb (the Lebanese) are doing what Iran wants despite it not being in Lebanon's best interest (if it was, I'd understand).
Yet, I do not hate Hezb either
I'm not the smartest guy in the room (I can name several people on here who I felt were much smarter than me), Unlike some self proclaimed geniuses on here, but if I hated Hezb, I'd do things differently on here (if you know you know). Many people don't know what hate really is and confuse it with being disgusted by or disliking someone. If I hated Hezb as people, I would not even want them to disarm, since that preserves their lives.
I also don't hate Hassan Nasrallah
If you knew me before he kicked the bucket you would know I was hoping that he would go to prison and serve there as proof of our determination to enforce the law instead of dying like he did (even though I did expect his death a month before it happened). Hate is what you see when people commit war crimes or genuinely wish death and terrible things on others, I have no hate for anyone. I do admit that I made some distasteful jokes about a dead person who has a sizable cult of personality but that's what happens when you're not allowed to express yourself. It always comes out in the end.
I'm not working for Israel or shekels
I'd first need to be a member of Hezb for that to even be possible, as almost all spies were members of Hezbollah who used to yell death to this and that. I've never even been c...

Located in northern Lebanon, the Rachid Karami International Fair was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer between 1962–1967 on a 70-hectare site between Tripoli’s historic center and Al Mina port. Its centerpiece is the Grand Canopy, a vast boomerang-shaped hall (750m x 70m) designed to host international exhibitions, with educational, cultural, and recreational facilities set in landscaped gardens and pools.
Conceived as Lebanon’s flagship modernization project, the fair integrated Brazilian modernist design with local aspirations for post-independence identity. It remains one of the most significant works of 20th-century modern architecture in the Arab Near East.
Although construction halted with the outbreak of the civil war in 1975, most structures still stand. UNESCO recognizes its Outstanding Universal Value, citing its cultural exchange, daring structural solutions, and symbolic role as a gateway to modernity. Today, the site faces urgent conservation challenges due to ageing concrete and war damage, but restoration plans and protective legislation are underway.

Since the early 2010s I heard rumors that Nasrallah was hiding in Haret Hreik where he could be seen at very rare occasions. I never believed those rumors thinking that he wasn't that dumb enough to hide in his party stronghold.
I was shocked when it turned out to be true

When tragedy struck Beirut on 4 August 2020, the impact extended far beyond shattered buildings and lives. The explosion tore through the city’s cultural soul, displacing artists, damaging its rich heritage, and leaving a profound, lingering void.
In response, the BERYT project, funded by the Lebanon Financing Facility, a multi-donor trust fund administered by the World Bank and implemented by UN-Habitat and UNESCO, emerged as a catalyst for renewal. BERYT has supported over 139 cultural professionals and entities, empowering more than 5,000 artists and reaching around 62,000 people through performances, workshops and exhibitions.
From youth circus groups raising environmental awareness to shoemakers reviving ancestral crafts, these initiatives show how culture fuels recovery and reconnects communities. This is not just a story of rebuilding—it’s a story of endurance, identity and hope. Watch now to discover how culture is helping Beirut heal.

BEIRUT, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Sawfar, perched about 1,300 meters above sea level, should be enjoying the warmth of late summer that ripens tomato crops. This year, however, an unrelenting heatwave scorched the seedlings long before their time.
Kesmat Rabah, who cultivates organic vegetables, watched helplessly as half her tomato crops dry up. "We used to rely on rain and snow, but this summer was harsher than ever," she said. "We had to buy water every three days -- about 300 U.S. dollars each time -- just to keep the plants alive."
Across Lebanon, farmers are grappling with a climate that seems to have no rhythm. The country, once celebrated for its lush landscapes and abundant springs, saw rainfall drop by over 60 percent during the 2024-2025 season. Key rivers and springs, including Al-Bayada, Hasbani, Al-Yamouna, and the Litani -- Lebanon's agricultural lifeline -- are drying up, leaving ecosystems collapsing and rural communities scrambling for water.

For farmers, these shifts are not abstract numbers but daily challenges.
Sara Samaan, an agricultural engineer working at plant nursery Cosanostra, recalled how her water reservoirs, normally sufficient for July, barely held half the usual volume this year.
"We had to buy water, but it's salty, and that damages seedlings," she explained. To cope with the dilemma, her team filtered the water, built shading structures, and applied mulch to protect young plants from the scorching sun. "The temperature is too high nowadays. These practices are necessary just to keep our crops alive."

Mossad agents planted devices in the heart of Haret Hreik that guided the Israeli army’s strikes on the bunker where the former Hezbollah leader was located
Israeli spies infiltrated Hezbollah’s stronghold in Beirut in September 2024, as war raged between Israel and Hezbollah, installing devices that guided airstrikes which killed Hassan Nasrallah on Sept. 27, 2024, according to reports published Sunday by the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronoth.
The Mossad mission was carried out while Israeli fighter jets bombarded Hezbollah strongholds in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the outlet reported.
Several agents infiltrated Haret Hreik, carrying carefully concealed packages. The team slipped through narrow alleyways, hoping that their superiors had coordinated with the Israeli army so the military wouldn’t bomb their escape route. Their destination was a residential building under which an underground bunker served as the Shiite party’s headquarters, according to the reports.
Intelligence passed to Unit 8200 and Israeli military intelligence services indicated that Nasrallah was set to meet in the bunker with the commander of Iran’s Al-Quds Force in Lebanon, General Abbas Nilforoushan, and the chief of Hezbollah’s southern front, Ali Karaki, seen as a possible Nasrallah successor.
Only a handful of Hezbollah guards and close associates knew about the bunker, according to the Israeli press. Mossad agents were tasked with placing their devices in predetermined locations inside the building. The team completed its mission amid bombing, installing the devices and slipping away undetected.
Hours before setting out, the agents had a tense discussion with their Mossad supervisor. They said they were ready for the mission but demanded that the air force pause its heavy bombardment during their infiltration. The supervisor insisted otherwise: the raids would not only continue but intensify, forcing Hezbollah guards to seek shelter and giving the agents a window to reach the bunker.

BEIRUT — Bulgarian authorities confirmed on Tuesday that the owner of a vessel suspected of importing the explosive material that caused the massive 2020 Beirut port blast has been arrested, a significant development in the investigation that resumed earlier this year.
What happened: Igor Grechushkin, a 48-year-old dual Russian-Cypriot citizen wanted by Interpol, was detained at Sofia Airport on Sept. 5 upon arriving from the Cypriot city of Paphos, Bulgarian outlets reported, citing the country’s chief of border police.
Chief Inspector Zdravko Samuilov told Bulgarian news agency BTA that Grechushkin did not resist arrest and nothing suspicious was found in his luggage.
He was placed in custody for up to 40 days on an order from the Sofia Court of Appeal, Bulgaria’s top prosecutor said in a press release issued Tuesday.
During this period, Lebanese authorities must issue the Bulgarian Supreme Court a request for Grechushkin’s extradition to Lebanon, where he is wanted for his role in the massive explosion.
The blast at the Beirut port in August 2020 was caused by a fire at a warehouse where nearly 3,000 tons of ammonium nitrate had been improperly stored since 2014. The explosion, one of the world’s largest non-nuclear explosions, sent a mushroom cloud towering over Beirut and ravaged entire neighborhoods, killing more than 220 people and injuring thousands of others.
Background: Grechushkin is the suspected owner of Rhosus, the ship that transported 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate, a volatile chemical commonly used in fertilizers, to the port of Beirut in November 2013.

Hezbollah’s military interventions illustrate the exact opposite of the classical Shii principle of neutrality and defensive only warfare. According to the teachings cited from al-Kāfī and Shaykh al-Mufīd, Shiaa are completely forbidden from initiating offensive military action without the guidance of the infallible Imam, and fighting is only permissible in self-defense. Yet Hezbollah has repeatedly launched attacks against Israel in response to events affecting Palestinians, often framing these actions as religiously justified resistance. From a classical Shii perspective, such unilateral offensives even when motivated by solidarity or moral outrage violate the injunction: «كُلُّ رَايَةٍ تُرْفَعُ قَبْلَ قِيَامِ الْقَائِمِ فَصَاحِبُهَا طَاغُوتٌ يُعْبَدُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ» and «لَيْسَ لِلشِّيعَةِ أَنْ يُقَاتِلُوا … إِلَّا أَنْ يُدْفَعَ عَنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَوْ عَنْ حُرُمَاتِهِمْ»
