Most people have 0 real reason as to why they hate people who are lgbtq+
I feel like most people i see that don’t like people who are lgbtq+ dont even have a reason for it other than religion (which i dont think is a reason at all for hate and dislike but just an excuse and a cover up for that hate and i just can’t respect that. Is that what your belief is? because your religion says so? is that what you truly believe? Or is that what you want to tell yourself because you just want to fit in and not be an outsider?), the influence of others or peer pressure (which i can understand but only if you would be in real danger to stand up for them even then if you’re comfortable enough make sure they’re okay like you would for a straight person being bullied or persecuted or maybe no one would even do that), and simply just ignorance and bigotry. Im a straight person but not once have I ever thought that a lgbtq+ person was horrible, stupid, or a waste of life. I just cant understand why there would be so much hate or true problems with them as a whole (and i dont care about hearing how its just how they are i really want a real true reason because i dont want to believe humans are this low). It’s like kindness and acceptance doesn’t even exist for them sometimes and ik people try but its never enough and it will never be enough and thats just how the world is.
You can never get people to trust and respect each other despite their differences thats a choice they alone have to make and so many of those people chose to disrespect every time just because. I myself have never truly tried to support lgbtq+ but i respect them and don’t hate them for being them. None of this to say that people who are lgbtq+ are innocent because maybe the lgbtq+ movement was a mistake or maybe seeking support from the masses was a mistake even though many groups have done almost the exact same thing for similar reasons. Realistically no one is truly innocent I think everyone should be treated fairly regardless of who they like or who they are or who they want to be and i believe hate shouldn’t be thrown around so blindly. But maybe im the narrow-minded one in this situation and maybe i shouldn’t be picking or opposing sides with what little knowledge i have but can’t i at least say how i feel about it? Surely i can’t be the only person who thinks like this. (Don’t attack me if you don’t think this way just give me a reason why you dont like them preferably one that is personal and not because you simply saw something you didn’t like from a few people because not everyone is like that. Tell me a real reason thats personal to you other than someone forcing you). This is not an attack on those who think differently either i just really want to know just ignore it if you don’t like it. Im kinda scared to send this now ngl 😭 i have no confidence and feel like people are gonna shit on me.
