PoGo Club Map 403r Error Notice
Summary
In ๐ PoGo Club ๐ we explain the in-app 403r map error caused by default street map tile throttling from OpenStreetMap. The announcement clarifies the issue does not affect account safety and recommends switching map skins or avoiding rapid zooming as temporary fixes. We are investigating longer-term improvements and appreciate the community's patience.
๐ข Notice About the โ403rโ Map Error
TL;DR
This is a default street map (The skin 1) issue;
This issue won't influence your Pokemon GO account safety;
You can change to other map skins to solve this issue at the moment.
Explain in detail
Some users may see a โ403rโ error on the in-app map. This is not related to any specific coordinates or locations.
The issue is mainly related to the default street map style. When the map is zoomed in or out quickly, it can send many tile requests to the map server at once. If the server cannot handle the requests in time, some of them may be rejected, which causes the 403r error.
This happens because the map tiles come from OpenStreetMap, their servers have limited resources and may block high-frequency requests at the moment.
Temporary solutions
- Try switching to another map style/skin
- Avoid rapid zooming on the map
Weโre looking into possible improvements. Thanks for your understanding! ๐
