🐐 THANK YOU, LEO.

The final whistle has been blown.

Tonight, Lionel Messi played his final match for Argentina. After more than two decades, the chapter that gave us some of the greatest moments football has ever seen has finally come to an end.

I didn't make an announcement when Messi announced his retirement, but I couldn't let his final game pass without saying something here.

Because this server isn't just a place where we talk about Messi.

For many of us, this server exists because of Messi.

We've watched the goals.
The dribbles.
The impossible passes.
The trophies.
The heartbreaks.
The comebacks.
The World Cup.
The Copa Americas.
The celebrations.
The tears.

We've argued about him endlessly, defended him, praised him, laughed together, and probably started more GOAT debates than anyone could count.

And now, there's no next Argentina game to look forward to.

Only memories.

From Rosario to Barcelona.
From his debut in the blue and white to becoming Argentina's captain.
From the criticism to finally lifting the World Cup.
From being a boy with a dream to becoming Lionel Messi.

Whatever happens from here, nothing can take those years away.

Thank you, Leo. 🇦🇷❤️

Thank you for giving us something worth watching.

Thank you for making millions fall in love with football.

And thank you for giving this community a reason to exist.

The Argentina chapter is over.

But the legacy never will be.

GraciasMessi 🐐

🕊️ Rest in Peace, Jorge Messi

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Jorge Messi, father of Lionel Messi, has passed away at the age of 68.

Jorge was an enormous presence throughout Leo’s life and career, supporting him from his earliest days in Rosario and representing him for much of his professional journey.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Leo, the Messi family, and everyone close to Jorge during this incredibly difficult time.

Out of respect for the family, please keep discussion surrounding his passing respectful. Jokes, mockery, or insensitive comments about his death will not be tolerated.

Rest in peace, Jorge Messi. 🕊️❤️

🇦🇷 Gracias, Leo. Gracias, Argentina.

Today’s result is heartbreaking. Argentina’s journey at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has ended with a 1–0 defeat to Spain after extra time in the final.

Although the trophy was not ours tonight, reaching another World Cup final is something this team, its supporters and this community can be proud of. Lionel Messi has already given us memories and achievements that will remain part of football history forever. One result can never erase his legacy or everything Argentina have accomplished.

Congratulations to Spain on becoming world champions.

As emotions remain high, we ask everyone to keep discussions respectful. Disappointment is understandable, but harassment, trolling, baiting and disrespect toward players or other supporters will not be tolerated.

In victory and in defeat, we remain together.

Gracias por todo, Leo. Siempre con vos. 🇦🇷🐐
