Feet that have always worn shoes are weak and atrophied. Unlike every other body part, podiatrists prescribe "supports" to patch the failing muscles. These slowly make things worse by atrophying muscles even more. The cure is to slowly ease into not wearing shoes. Here is a guide yo some exercises you can do to help your feet. Bear in mind your feet will be very soft and weak at first. You will need to slowly build up muscle and skin density to go barefoot over rubble and broken glass like we do.
