IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

to help keep The Goon Garden a safe, well-moderated 18+ community, members are required to have their discord profile set to public while they are in this server.

as a large NSFW community, we deal with scammers, spam accounts, sellers, bots, ban evaders, rule breakers, predators, and occasionally minors attempting to access the server. a user's profile is one of the most valuable moderation tools we have for identifying obvious bad actors and enforcing our rules.

discord's new private profile feature prevents us moderators from viewing information that has historically helped us keep this community safe.

because of this, we have decided that private profiles are not compatible with participation in this server.

if your profile is set to private:
- a moderator may ask you to make it public.
- if you refuse or repeatedly keep it private, you will be removed from the server.
- suspicious private accounts may be banned without warning.

this is not because we oppose privacy. we understand some people may prefer private profiles. however, our priority is maintaining a safe, well-moderated adult community. discord is already a largely anonymous platform, and if you wish to separate your activity in this server from your main account, we encourage using an alternate discord account dedicated to adult communities.

if you are uncomfortable making your profile visible to our moderation team, we completely respect that, but this server may not be the right fit for you
